@@sonja30 oh Sessomaru definitely takes after his mom in personality and some other aspects, but he and Inuyasha definitely have Toga’s eyes. I think another reason why Izayoi was crying wasn’t just because she pitied her son who was being bullied for being a half demon but also because she sees so much of toga in Inuyasha. He definitely has a stronger similarity to Toga than Sessomaru- even if he never got to know him
There’s a movie that came out years ago that told this story too.

@@gabbycosta1507 I cant even say that Inuyasha looks that much like his mother, aside from his black hair when he's human. But he and Toga definitely share those more "rough 'round the edges" type of features and personality. They're more boisterous and outspoken. While Sesshomaru is rather elegant in his features and personality, more stoic.
Something they've both inherited from their father without question is their stubbornness and their will to protect what's theirs. Just took one a little longer to get it lol

these scenes are great together and really help piece the story. It’s so cool to also find out inuyasha is technically a prince of sort.
Needs to be more views on this, the song is beautiful, and so fitting and also the song is very haunting and yet very beautiful, and so very creative.
The song is a cover, and no where near as beautiful as the original.
Elvis Presley is the absolute best but this cover version is nice.

I really love how in Yashahime when it comes to the trio, Setsuna takes after Sesshōmaru, Moroha takes after Inuyasha, *and Towa takes after Toga.*
Each of the three of them take after one of their predecessors, and Towa (the most compassionate of the three) takes after her grandfather (one of the most fierce and compassionate demons to ever exist).
Well some would say she takes after Rin. I mean, a little girl helping an angry powerful demon who was injured? And getting those herbs for Jaken?
Well, actually, in one of the early episode Myoga actually said Moroha’s blood tastes the closest to her grandfather, the Great Dog Demon
but doesn't moroha's power take after her grandfather?
@@user-uh9nz8uh2n There's been more parallels and comparisons between Towa and Toga than there have been of Moroha and Toga. Even Zero and Kirinmaru brought this up on multiple occasions.

In that time period it was expected that a man of his status would have a wife and at least 1 concubine also it was never mentioned which one he was married to or if he even loved Sesshomarus mom or if it was a matching for convenience since they both needed an heir.

However if it forced n they couldn't make up than they always get devorce. But still it will look okay n fine but not much of a respectful. Because not every girl is Inuyasha's mom, some r Sessomaru's mom as well. We always love to think ourselves as the main characters but to be honest most as more like side characters. @@animequeen8254 In Japan at that time, marriage was NOT about love. It was about status and money. Concubines and lovers were often had with love in mind. It's possible that Izayoi was a beloved concubine.

This is pretty. I'd like to know more about the story, and why they fell in love. Hopefully there was more to it than her being a beautiful high-born maiden in distress. I know she was a good mom to Inuyasha but I don't remember much about her other than that.

I know this anime so well I can tell what clips are from Kikyo & Sess, but they're edited in so masterfully they appear as though from Izayoi & Toga themselves. I only wish I could edit at this level. Much respect!

I relate more on shesshomaru's mother. For not being the favorite. It must've been painful seeing you're husband dying for another woman. And be looking like a villain if you try to react.
Sesshomaru's mother never loved someone that way, they are demons and they don't understand love like humans do, inu no taisho was the only one. later sesshomaru would be able to understand it.

She supported it. Inukimi never had that much of connection with Inutaisho but unlike her son, she didn't look down upon humans. She was totally cool with Inutaisho having an affair with a human princess.

Though, I'm an Inutaisho and Inukimi shipper, this one love story was amazing
Me two I always wanted to know all three of these stories inu and inukami and Inuyasha mom, I always thought toga and inukami had a business relationship, you know create a power hire, which they did, but inukami strikes me as a woman who does not need a man because she's already powerful enough, how ever deep down, I always think she does miss toga .
They should do a storyline about Inuyasha mom and Sesshomaru mom and there Father

They were already estranged. They decided they no longer wanted to be together. She was his second love not the other woman.
I mean you don’t technically know if they both decided they didn’t want to be together? Zero tried to get under Sesshomaru’s mother’s skin when she said it must’ve felt good seeing Izayoi walking in the underworld. If everything was fine between them why would she say that? Sesshomaru’s mother just doesn’t express herself like Sesshomaru and knew not to give Zero that satisfaction and the reaction she probably wanted, especially over a human. Besides, she’ll always be a proud woman but you don’t know what inner turmoil she must’ve been going through too. I always just saw Izayoi as the other woman, a secret concubine that he fell in love with and had a love child by. Sesshomaru’s mother seemed to be the official and public wife. Sometimes I understand why Sesshomaru hated Inuyasha so much, he was a reminder of what shame their father brought to their family and to his own legacy by fathering an illegitimate and not to mention half-demon child and then dying for that one purpose. It probably felt like a betrayal to Sesshomaru just like when he never got the one sword he always wanted and probably thought he would be entrusted. Yes, it turned out good in the long run that he didn’t get it because he learnt compassion over time, surpassed his father and got his own sword but it must’ve sucked from his point of view and his mother’s even if we see it as some grand love story from Izayoi’s perspective and Inuyasha’s. I felt like Sesshomaru always had to try harder to get his father’s approval compared to Inuyasha. Whereas, Inuyasha didn’t even take things that seriously. He was put to sleep by Kikyo for 50 years, never cared about his father who risked his life and legacy to save him, spoke poorly about him, and only seemed to make a name for himself by wielding tessaiga- yet again a sword made for his own protection by his father that favoured him. Sesshomaru had to struggle more, lost his arm, had to learn to accept tenseiga, then gets the meido zengetusha technique only to learn it’s some cast off of tessaiga. He had a lot of low points he just doesn’t express it like Inuyasha so I don’t blame him or his mother for being bitter.

he had sesshomaru with sesshomarus mother which is shown in the episodes where he was trying to master The Meido in tensaiga (think it is in the final act)
The way I see it, Sesshomaru's mother was his mate a long time ago and had a child with her, but it doesn't seem to been a very serious thing. I don't think there was any love lost between them... probably a demon thing, I don't know how important romantic connections are to them... at least, she doesn't seem that bothered that he fell in love with a human woman.
But he loved Izayoi. He had an attachment to her. Real affection.
