This song just made me realize something: Edgeworth is the most defined character in the whole series. Think about it: He has 2 games around him self, has been in every Ace Attorney game minus apollo Justice and Layton vs. Wright, he has had most of his family and backstory revealed over the course of the whole series, and overall has strong character traits. Think about Nick: he is a lawyer, he believes in all of his clients, and was inspired by Miles. Now look at Miles: he wanted to be a lawyer after his dad, Gregory, but due the DL-6 Incident ended up being von Karma's apprentice/son. Until he met Wright again in the first game, he was obsessed with guilty verdict, but Wright showed Edgeworth the path to the truth, and Edgeworth has stayed true to the path, even giving up his badge (temporarily) in the process. He's dealt with the supernatural, corrupt politicians, a smuggling ring over the course of a week, and even uncovered the truth of 2 presidential assassination attempts. Not to say who's better, but Edgy is pretty badass to handle all of that, within a year to boot.
Plus he doesn't use any weird artefact like Phoenix, or has been born with a strange ability like Apollo. In order to find the truth, he just use Logic to connect clues and his smart questions when he is interrogating someone.
