    I will admit I do like Villa this FM. Emery does the League Cup and UEFA Conference double in my saves a lot. Usually goes to Newcastle at some point.

    @FMlestri 4 дні тому +1

    I've found Villa under Emery to be my nemesis in my Palace save, especially when they played their 4-2-4. When he got the sack, they went to a more conventional 3-5-2 and became so much easier.

    • @mustermannfm
      @mustermannfm  4 дні тому +1

      The 4-2-4 is a horrible formation to play against, for sure! And that's why Emery should never be allowed to leave Villa.

      @mustermannfm maybe it's time to do it at Mariehamn

    • @mustermannfm

      I know this sounds stupid, but it's too effective. Even without maximum pressing intensity, the combination of 4 players high - two of which occupy striker slots - and the defensive propensity for underhitting passes is devastating. That said, the 4-2-2-2 with DMs and wingers in midfield strata, in this video might make an appearance next season (recruitment allowing)

      @mustermannfm yeah it is a little too easy. I'll send a screen grab at some point of my TF inspired formation based on feeding Mateta at Palace. Maybe some interest for your TF antics

    When considering suitable transfers based on data, should I consider league ranking of the target player compared to the league I am currently in?

    • @mustermannfm
      @mustermannfm  4 дні тому +1

      Absolutely. You're not going to expect a Vanarama League player to make the jump up to the Premier League. But if a player is performing exceptionally in Serie B, there's a good chance they'll perform okay in the Premier League (not as good as they were, but should be serviceable)

    How do you improve a tactic when things are going randomly wrong. I'm currently going on a little run with Kaiserslautern in the bundesliga, took me 4 seasons. I'm currently overachieving, I'm in 6th predicted to finish in 18th spot.
    Also how do you go on with signing players. It took me 2 hours going through the scouting tab. No money, no players, it's unbearable.

    • @dirkorwhat
      @dirkorwhat 4 дні тому +2

      I’ve personally created some search filters for each position/profile im looking for and I just play around with them. Sometimes you got to lower your standards in the quality of the signing.

    • @cannon5052
      @cannon5052 4 дні тому +1

      @dirkorwhat I kinda follow stinger's guide, for the top league, you must have at least 15+ on the necessary attributes. But in my case since i just got promoted, it's like 13+

      Let the data guide you. Head to the Data Hub and see which stats you are performing well at and which you are performing poor at.
      Maybe, for example, you've got a poor tackle win rate. This could be a couple of things. Maybe your tackling hard, which increases the likelihood of players tackling even when the chance of winning it is low - which leaves your players out of position. Or maybe your players are "winning" the tackle, but not sweeping up the loose ball - this could indicate that you are pressing too high/intensely without players nearby to support the tackler - at which point you need to make your lines more compact.
      Similar with scouting. I don't use attributes, so the focus is on data. There isn't a specific metric by position/role. It very much depends on what you want from your players in your tactic. Ask yourself the following questions:
      - What do I expect this player to do on the ball?
      - What do I expect this player to do when we have possession, but he is not on the ball?
      - What do I expect this player to do in transition?
      - What do I expect this player to do in defence?
      Let's say I have an inverted winger, who I want to create chances for an Advanced Forward. On the ball I want him cutting inside (dribbles per 90) and playing through balls (expected assists or open-play key passes per 90). When he is not on the ball, I want him to hold the width and be available for the pass (passes attempted per 90 - a player who receives a lot of passes, also attempts a lot of passes compared to those who instead make runs in behind). In transition, I expect him to press the opposition (pressures attempted per 90). In defence, I expect him to get back and support the full-back in wide areas (distance covered per 90 - he is constantly getting up and down the pitch).
      Always easiest to use how your own players are performing as the baseline.

      @@cannon5052 data will make you realize that thats not necessarily true, check Mustermann's dortmund rebuild,
      he replaced Adeyemi with Emegha through data and not attributes and Emegha was even better than adeyemi averaging over 1goal per game.
      Im trying to make it simple for you with this example but when you get on this side of fm the game will become much more fun as you dont have to focus on the same best attribute players that everyone signs. At least its more fun for me.

    Remi Garde tactic video when??

    • @mustermannfm
      @mustermannfm  5 днів тому +1

      Controversial opinion: Remi Garde wasn't that bad. We played some decent football under him, just couldn't score for toffee because our strikers were Gestede, Gabby and Ayew. Note, I'm not going so far as to say he was good, though.
