Pine Valley Recreation Area, Utah

May 2021 first camping trip of the season. Made two short trips, a week apart, to the Pine Valley Recreation Area about 40 miles north of St. George, Utah. It's a very scenic forested area with many Ponderosa Pines. Very nice and well maintained campgrounds (Yellow Pine Loop, Dean Gardner Loop, Crackfoot, et al). All campsites are paved and level sites. A small lake is next to the Dean Gardner Loop Campground, and is stocked with trout.

I caught 60-80 trout in that pond 3 years ago. Then trout love some powerbait nuggets let me tell you! Nobody else was catching but they all wanted to eat so I gave away 30-50 rainbow trout I caught so these families could eat.
Me and my family ate the steak we brought lol
