    Ari Melber's presence, the way he talks, he really appears different in a good way compared to most people on this show. He's so seasoned and polished w/his extensive news reporting background. Also, being a former lawyer lets him speak on so many topics as well, confidently, such as Trump's many cases.

      hardly, while he's less of a left wing zealot than most on his MSNBC channel, he's showing how he's following the company bias, on this show, watching Andrew, a gay republican, a moderate at that, basically show that, based on reality, pretty much says you're wrong, Ari sounds like a left wing zealot, a light version, but still the exact opposite of the right wing nuts, equality isn't equity, merit isn't race, gender, real gender, it's why democrats can't win against the worst republican ever with ease

    • @rona3393
      @rona3393 5 місяців тому

      just wait if the GOP get's a slightly normal candidate, they'd wipe the flow with the Dems, because of idiotic "facts" that Ari is pushing, which are all about gender/race/quotas/DEI, cherry picked facts, go get the facts about Blacks/Police, all of them, like how many interactions, then arrests, charges, going to court, plea bargains/actual jail time/probation, then compare them to all other races %, then try and tell people Blacks are being discriminated against, real "facts" like why Ari isn't worried about how many brick layers are women, only the CEO"s, facts we don't need no stinkin facts! cherry picking, Dems biased showing, just like GOP's

      I think it's a bit of relativity there ...
      While you think Ari is far left .... it might indicate how far to the right you are sitting yourself ....
      Is there any scientific or objective way to establish exactly where the CENTER is located .... ??
      As an example ...
      Back in the 1850s the emancipation of slavery was considered to be a VERY radical idea ....
      But if you want to find the center you need to establish the most radical opposing positions ....
      At one end was the idea that it was right and proper for white people to own black people as property ...
      The Polar opposite would be if black people owned white people as property ....
      At the center point ....
      All people are equal and no one owns anyone as property ....
      In hindsight it seems obvious ...
      And maybe a hundred years from now the issues we are currently wrangling with might also have answers that are obvious ....
      Our great great grandchildren will wonder wtf was wrong with those troglodytes .....
      But the best we can do is to disagree without being disagreeable ....
      I'm trying my best to avoid the hostility and insults that run rampant in the interwebs .... ❤

We are well past diminishing returns. I wouldn't loosing the rules, but the rules HAVE been working. The person responsible for this accident was the gun master (or whatever they call that position). They didn't follow the rules and handed Baldwin a loaded gun. If Baldwin has any responsibility for the shooting, it is as a producer and allowing the hiring of an unqualified gun master, because it saved them some money. Not a crime, but not enough either. And he remains a complete arse, besides. I respect Ari a great deal but it seems to me, and I'm no legal expert, but the argument there's no precedent for the 14th amendment case to exclude Trump from any ballot can't be a reason to not bring such a case. How else is precedent established? If this is not the time or circumstance to bring the only tools the architects of our society provided us to preserve democracy to bear, then when? And litigating Trump into oblivion (irony?) may not be the way to rid ourselves of the red spots on the hands of a nation, but it does shine a light into his shady crooks and cronies. Maybe enough light the people will then recognize him for who/what he is. And not vote for the buffoon.

      @@evanburrows1697 There are rules and protections to not allow the government to be overthrown. Having the voters decide a seditionists fate is not one of those items considered nor should they. The government is not the people, sit down at your local town government assembly's and the people don't hold the keys, the government is a separate entity from the people. The US government whose rules are outlined in the "Constitution" allow for the public to vote for those public members that want to run for a position in said government. You are meant to follow the rules of the "Constitution" and your eligibility. If you break the laws of the "Constitution" then you suffer the consequences outlined. Having the people decide any of this is not part of the "Constitution" is because the people are NOT the government, the entity itself. The problem right now is that the legal system is too freakin' slow so there is really no time to make a ruling on Trump ahead of the next election due to no precedence. Trump is the first to attempt the over throw of an election, heck, he is the first to try take the Capitol beside the Confederates to which they didn't get close enough. NO. can a person born in Austria , like Arnold Schwarzenegger seek the presidency ? NO. many confederate soldiers were prevented from running by the 14th amendment, and rightfully so. trumps actions on, during and after January 6th disqualify him from being on the ballot, its that simple. my second point is to ask why the electoral college was created ? it was to stop the public at large from putting an undesirable in office via popular vote. how is that democratic ? furthermore it failed when trump was first elected, and it will fail again if he is elected by anything then the popular vote, my winning the majority, 1 American 1 vote. it is time we dump the electoral college for democracy's sake.

      The most important thing in this regard is to rescind the pass that Congress has given itself on "insider trading".
      The USA is not a democracy, is a constitutional republic, which assumes that the common person is too erratic, unintelligent and uninformed to make good decisions. Unfortunately this now describes most republican politicians to a higher degree than it does the average person.

    • @scottmci
      @scottmci 5 місяців тому

      @@SkyRiver1 - Yup, about insider trading. Congress is so corrupt, Democrats and Republicans, with Republicans having the added vice of being unhinged. And I'd like to add that we're also a democracy, albeit a representative democracy, a term that is consistent with being a constitutional republic. The 17th Amendment cemented that fact when it put direct election of senators into the Constitution. (Of course members of the House of Representatives were already elected by democratic vote, although women and minorities and non-land owners weren't initially given the franchise.) I think people get caught up in the fact that the word "democracy" isn't in the Constitution. But neither, for example, is the word "country" and that doesn't mean the United States isn't a country by any reasonable understanding of the word.

    Competition huh? How many companies are offering entertainment/news networks, cable, streaming has anyone seen those prices go down? No as people move away from the old established sources and all the newer ones fight for customers splinter the demand they have all raised their prices. Cellular services sure aren't dropping. When it comes to food the companies consume the competition by buying them and eliminating it. It's an old way of thinking that worked at least to a degree when businesses were evolving and growing rapidly in the days after the second world war but things have changed, this thinking hasn't. Frankly Reagan and his deregulation did far more damage than good and on that topic air traffic controllers never really recovered from his mass firings and that is in part the cause of the problems today in that vital sector. All these "thinkers" sure don't seem to have many original thoughts or ideas and damn sure don't have solutions.

      If you pay for entertainment it is your choice, because it is easy enough to get anything for free -- legally. No I am not going to tell you how -- figure it out.
      Take UA-cam for example, you can watch it with ads or you can pay to get rid of the ads, or you can just get rid of them for free. I have never seen an ad on UA-cam.

    Once again bill I’m calling you out on the Israeli vs Palestinian protests. The majority of protesters are against the WAR. The devastation on Gaza citizens. This is not like you for the most part. You normally speak out against people who can’t have 2opinions on an issue. Your inability to admit that the Israeli govt has gone too far is disappointing. I listen to many interviews from both sides, and even Israelis are disgusted with Netanyahu and say he is the worst person to be in power during this crisis. By the way I love your show and have watched it every week for many years.

    For everyone wondering about the CLAPPING: I’ve been to two Real Time tapings. It was very fun. Before the show starts, the producer comes out and tells a few jokes. He gets the crowd pumped up and affirmatively encourages the clapping. That’s why.
