You do you find doctors that care about identifying and treating the underlying cause of tinnitus and dizziness? Many doctors are dismissive even if the illness is keeping you out of work.
I had an episode of extreme blood pressure drop from dehydration and my potassium was extremely low. I got tinnitus the next week. I wish I knew what caused it! 😢
Sounds like your body is producing too much aldosterone. Usually caused by heart conditions like AFIB, or by anxiety. This hormone causes you to excrete potassium in the urine. Have you been experiencing any palpitations? You should ask for an EKG. In the meantime you can buy potassium citrate powder and add it to water and drink it throughout the day.
@@jleezy612 I'm glad to help. I wish someone would have helped me when I first started having palpitations. It caused great anxiety in me. If you are eating healthy and drinking plenty of water, and your kidneys are healthy, and your potassium is still low, then most likely your body is producing too much of that hormone. So in the meantime you need to supplement with potassium citrate. If your potassium level remains too low then you will continue to have palpitations and feel muscle weakness or cramping. It can take weeks to months for your potassium levels to return to normal. You should also avoid sodium in your diet. Sodium lowers potassium. You might be noticing your body is retaining fluids. Maybe your ankles look a little swollen.
I saw studies on vitamin D and vitamin B12 deficiencies. My gastric bypass doctor said both were low. I had nasal surgeries that my ENT said would help. Upping my vitamins and the surgies seemed to help my tinnitus. I don't think it caused it, but being on vitamin and anti anxiety medication maybe made it less noticeable.
Hello As I understand it, the consumption of dairy products and vitamin D is prohibited in people with tinnitus. One no longer knows what to do, each time I end up more confused.

Hey handsome......my sudden onset with no cause resulted in a trip to the ENT and an audio test that showed I had very mild hearing loss in 4k to 8k range. They said nothing can be done and sent me out the door with a Widex flyer (which a retired person on fixed income can not afford!) I used the Audio Notch tester and got a equal sound to my ringing at 11,100 to 11,300 range. Most of the time I don't notice it if I am busy or focused. In a silent moment it is mildly loud. My question is....How can I keep the vol. level from getting worse?!?!?! Yes, I will call for a after Christmas for some advice...watched about 30 of your recent posts.....learned a lot!

The best sound is one that you find calming! The goal of sound therapy is not to completely mask the tinnitus. Instead, listen to it at a lower volume than the tinnitus so your brain can compare the sound therapy to the tinnitus; this will allow you to habituate. Take the Tinnitus Quiz: tinnitusquiz.com/

Can vitamine (d) deficiency potentially worsen tinnitus from other causes (like noise exposure)?
