Disney's California Adventure was originally themed to the state of California. Sourdough bread is a part of San Francisco tradition dating back to the California Gold Rush. This attraction opened with the park alongside a bunch of other California-themed attractions, most of which have been altered or removed, except for Grizzly River Run and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. So this one feels out of place.

You need to wake up and realize that Disney isn't just its animated movies or other IPs. Disney is about originality, creativity, and this case, edutainment. There is nothing wrong with Disney building a theme park based on the state of California in California. Something tells me you would've hated Disneyland at its height in the 70s up until the mid 90s and you would've hated EPCOT Center in its 80s prime. You are considered an undesirable and the kind of guest not wanted at the parks. The only guests who matter are the purists.
