You are right! Mac Davis is so good and this song is so beautiful! Thank you for listening to my cover attempt. I am still working on learning how to sing it better. I appreciate your support! Thank you so much!
Hi Erik! The song title description to my video means. I did not write it, it means what I sang is a cover version of that great song written by Mac Davis and made popular by Elvis. :) Thanks for visiting and taking the time to listen to my work in progress. I do not know how to sing and have been teaching myself how to play the guitar. Thank you for your support.
@@shorttrini2002 HI Michael! Thank you for visiting and listening to my song cover version. You are correct and thank you for supporting, helping explain.
This doesn't sound like Mac Davis. Elvis Presley called Mac Davis up said he needed some new material. So Mac Davis wrote memories in the ghetto and don't cry Daddy. And Little less conversation. Mac Davis and Elvis became pretty good friends. Some reason Mac Davis the songs he wrote for Elvis after hearing Elvis sing them songs I don't think he really. Wanted to record his versions because I have to hear an Elvis sing these songs he was just blown away. What Elvis recorded in the ghetto. Mac Davis didn't even know it was on the. He goes let's put it this way if bought him a brand new red convertible car. And a TV set. And a lot more. Hearing Mac Davis sing this song it don't sound like Mac Davis So it's not just that Elvis recorded it was written for Elvis. And one last thing just so you know Little less conversation. When the remake came out, Elvis's enterprises still got 50% of the royalties of the song. And Mac Davis got the other cuz Mac Davis wrote the song. And Mac Davis didn't even know about the remake of the song A Little less conversation. When it's one of his friends Tom hey man sounds of hitting another. And it's a hit in the US with the new remake. Made money off that too and didn't even know it. So songwriters out there when you write a song you never know when you're going to start making money on that song. You might make money on it the year you wrote it 40 years later you can make more money if it's recorded by another good artist or. Remix who knows
@@climber7565this song was strictly written for Elvis by Mac Davis along with in the ghetto A Little less conversation and memories for number one hits
I want to cry just listening to Mac Davis singing it it's heart-wrenching and sung with so much sincerity
