- Take one large ball, add in some horses and their riders and a space to play and what do you have?
Equi-soccer.
This is a training tool we use at Harmony Horsemanship to help both horse and rider improve their connection to each other. Equi-soccer provides opportunities to train horses in several important areas. The riders also learn how to better communicate with their horse.
Harmony Horsemanship is in Deerfield, Wisconsin based at Freedom Stables. The stable provides a wide range of equestrian services and is owned and operated by Ted Schlueter. Ted Schleuter and Paulette Stelpflug are joint partners in Harmony Horsemanship. If you would like to know more about our game and our training, please email us at harmonyhorsemanship@gmail.com.
PS - In addition to using these large soccer balls, we sell them too!

An other name, but the same sport: Pushball on Horseback, it exist since 1902! In USA it's called Horse Soccer, in New Zealand it's called Hoofball. I use the Original name, Pushball on Horseback. I use the Game Rules of the Italian Cavalry, 1928. I've also the Russian Red Army Game Rules, 1930. For more European cavalry history (since 1907) watch on my Facebook page, photo album War Horse and War Dog. I'm the Dutch Pushball on Horseback Coach and Trainer. What kind of Game Rules do you use? Join in! Greetings, Hélène Victorine de Fremery (NL)

The group I ride with has started working with these large activity balls. Some of our mounts really get into it. They go after the balls like crazy. Are there any official rules to the game as far as scoring goes?
