A native of New York state, with interests in astrophysics, cosmology, and electrical engineering, Neil Pappalardo is the founder and CEO of MEDITECH, a leading supplier of information systems for 2,200 hospitals in the US, Europe, Australia, and Africa. Recognized by many as the “soul” of the MIT physics department, much of Mr. Pappalardo’s career was spent in product development, creating software that allows health care providers to track each patient’s history and monitor ongoing treatment for chronic health problems, regardless of the patient’s location.
