I’m no Suzuyin, but I can help. I find optimizing your speed and note size helps. I find the quicker it goes, the better I play. I play on the max speed, but I don’t expect you to do so in your first week. Also, larger note size helps to decrease your chance of missing a note.

my tip is to always challenge yourself! play until you feel comfortable and then make your notes faster and bigger until you feel comfortable again. you will probably feel your skill level raising the more u play!

That definitely helps too! I find just diving into expert difficulty and practicing til you get it right works.
