I'd take nodoze when I was11-12 yrs old to be certain I wouldn't miss a 3am episode. That's how good Combat was & still is Risking the wrath of my mom if caught during a school night!!
Sal Mineo was the Paratrooper who got shot because he thought the Gernan rifle sounded like those cricket toys they handed out on D- Day in the Longest Day. Ted knight look good in a Gernan uniform in this Brothers series. Lol!
It is Sal Mineo. In fact he started in 3 combat epsiodes; - The Brothers (1966) … Marcel Paulon - Nothing to Lose (1966) … Vinnick - The Hard Way Back (1964) … Larry Kogan
In combat life can be take away before you know your in trouble. Think of it, death for what?? The grace Gospel for salvation 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 and read Ephesians 2:8-9. What a great loving God we all have to give us all a way to escape death for eternity. Why?? God is love.
Personally I don't like the 1/3 or 1/4 parsings. BUT the episodes seem to be longer at about 51 minutes reinforcing the idea the earlier seasons were edited for syndication although Vic Morrows 1963 interview stated 47 minute episodes.
I prefer Hollywoods version of war,the pain and suffering glamourised, we owe it to the loved ones, to spare them from the true reality of instant death, they would be horrified, about how long the unlucky ones take to die...
One big deception seen in the Combat series is those shining G.I. helmets we see now & then, as no helmet ever had any shine to it what-so-ever, at least not on the American side of things especially in the battlefields. Now the German military? Well that's a different matter.
The shining helmets here are made of fiberglass to cut down the weight. They did use real steel helmets at the start of the show but made the fiberglass ones for later on in the show.
Sal Mineo's horrible attempt at an accent rivals that of Robert Duvall in Combat's final episode. That or any fake accent from any old school Mission Impossible episode. I love this series but I'm just sayin'.
@@BikingVikingHH yes, but that was 7 years ago, "We've come a long way, baby!" LOL Wasn't very tech savvy back then, learning something new every day, year... Still trying to figure this cell phone stuff, I have nursing home residents. at my work who run circles around me on this stuff. I have a simple cell, but still have my land line... one day I'll meet up with the 21st century, LOL 😃 Have a good day.
Does anyone else face this confusion, that the actor in this episode is either Sal Mineo, Donna Reed's son, or Fernando Lamas? I can't ever figure out who is who. I always thought this guy was either Mineo or Donna Reed's son. Now I have to add Lamas to the equation and I become even more confused. Could have sworn this was Mineo. Rats!
Oh I loved this Combat series from school days when I was 13 years old .Now I 'm 59 .

In that movie sal mineo was the one still wearing the Mae West because he said he couldn't swim.
Seu canal e bom mesmo
Gostaria filme dublado português
I get why the kid "Froze" cold steel is tough, despite hollywood a man takes hours to die, the moaning, it's haunting

such a great show- such trajedy for the stars
In Japan, they had Little Boy and Fatman A Bombs. In Europe vs the Germany, it was Saunders and Hanley.
No, Chuck Norris. We had him.
Remember seeing Sal Mineo in Rebel Without a Cause , staring James Dean and Natalie Wood . Now that role was more fitting for him .
I remember him in the longest day. He was the one still wearing his May West because he couldn't swim even at the gun emplacement 🤣🤣
Broadcast on Tuesday 4th October 1966
What always gets me is that nobody ever gets promoted, despite being rambo quality soldiers! (at least Lt. Handley, Saunders and Caje were.) :D
Don’t forget the kirbanator

I have this overwhelming urge to carry maps
The older guy is Lamas, the younger is Mineo.

Maybe he's back on his meds. If he returns my prescription is: 50mg Thorazine I.M. stat.

Great memories
JNeste, I think 100 mg oral Prozac might be better with some D5W IV push on the side for a chaser..... LOL!
No Problem. Glad to help.
Good to see Caje back, he was apparently recovering from his wounds in Episode So4E32
Sal Mineo but no credit for him until the end which we cannot see.
At 13:09 Welcome Lieutenant to Fernando's Hideaway.
Thank you.
it to by is hute mi
Its better to look good than toi feel good.
Why isn't Mineo given a guest start credit with Lamas in the opening?
They did the same thing in the previous episode with Robert Walker as the guest star but they didn't mention Claude akins
Sideburns in the early forties?
? Sideburns have been around since the 1800's.

Oscar Jordan- just saying what? That you have to severe the enemies vocal chords to stop them screaming.
some one under sinhle
ccsra5 - LOL.
Why? That would to much work!!
Elsbeth Humphrey Do you know, you can just respond directly to peoples comments, not making separate new ones that they will never see LOL
