- Learn how to replace a broken side door glass yourself on a 1997 Toyota Camry. This is a easy job that does not take long to do and only take a few basic hand tools, which I will list below.
To replace the door glass you will need:
Small Flat Head Screw Diver
Phillips Screw Driver
Door Trim Removal Tool - CollisionBlast....
10 MM Socket
Vacuum Cleaner - Used to vacuum broken glass.

Always a good idea to grease the window track and lube the moving parts before you close the panels back up and make sure the door lower drains are clear. Nice video.

Thank you for this video. Someone smashed my window as well and I saved $150 by doing it myself, works like new. Hardest part is cleaning up the glass. My car was a 09 mits galant but it was basically the same process. 😁🙌🏽

You need to show some close up shots of how to line up the screw holes of the window and the regulator. I had trouble lining them up. And I got both screws in but it didn't line up on the track with the window. Had to take the first screw out and line it up and rescrew it back. I have a 2006 Toyota Camry LE 4 cylinder. Almost the same as the one in this video but I had to take the speaker out to reach the inner screw and line it up.

Great video. Someone shot my passenger side rear window with a bb gun, shattered it. I ordered a replacement but it doesn't have the 2 round pieces on bottom of glass. Can old ones be reattached to new glass??

Does the window come with this clips attached or are they moveable. Meaning i see i can buy a replacement window without clips. Am i able to use the clips that were holding the broken window and place them correctly myself?

I can't think of what else would be holding it other than those two bolts. Is there some broken glass keeping it hung up?

How do u make sure all the broken glass is out? Also do you have to break the rest of the window to take it out because how would you pull out a broken window?
Tempered glass breaks into small pieces. The tint may hold it together. However laminated glass is held together by the laminate. But yes, all glass must be removed including the window tracks.
