- The LONGEST drive I've ever had to do all alone yet! I was so nervous about driving a tuk-tuk from Colombo to Hikkaduwa, but I'm a good driver, so I knew I'd do it!
After my diving debacle and diving anxiety in Negombo, I was so worried if I'd ever be able to dive again, and this was BREAKING MY HEART, so I decided to give it another shot! Do I get past my anxiety and fear?
Episode 3 of my tuk-tuk journey brings us to Hikkaduwa for a whole lot of adventure!

Where'd you keep your belongings while chilling in the water?
If I go diving, they’re usually safe on the boat. If I go to the beach, I leave my valuables in the room and carry minimum cash in my bag and I leave it within eyeshot at the beach. A lot of it is also based on gut feel. If I feel safe leaving it, I do. If not, I don’t. But touristy places like these are usually pretty safe, in my experience!

Renting a tuk-tuk vs Car Vs bike? Which is the best
Renting a tuk is better because it gives shelter when raining and fuel consumption of tuks are lower than cars.
Cons of renting a tuk: Have to be careful when turning sharp turns coz it has only 3 wheels, when an accident happens fatality is higher in a tuk because it has no strong armour.
Adding to that, I always felt safe in a tuktuk as long as I stayed far away from bus drivers and didn’t drive at night.
