I'm glad to know this that this process takes so much time, it takes me about the same time and more to open my daughter's hair, I thought I was slow. I've also heard in another video that treatment is always best to be applied on freshly washed hair for best result. Thanks for sharing!
Hats off to you ladies that can wear your hair in protective style for six months. I can't even do one week. Geez I am trying my best to wash my hair only once a week...God help me. I do like putting oil in my hair first prior to take down. I will now add conditioner to my oil routine. I learned some good things. Thank you
You have to know what works best for you and aren’t we all trying / practicing to know what works best for us? For me max months for braids and cornrows is 3 months and it’s just sometimes I couldn’t be bothered to think about the next protective hairstyle to do. Thank you for the info, now I know before I loose my hair … I should use oil and conditioner the day before to soften the hair and any buildup 😊, cheers!
I wish! How do y'all hair not lock up after so long? And yes I seen folks on here combing out locks😳 These very baby fine strands medium density I got over here could never! But I see it works for you, beautiful hair.
I have 2c hair and lose all my hair/lenght due to anemia and dandruff. I have started washing only 1x week and try to keep my hair in a clip. The less I touched my hair the more it grew and stayed long. I still lose a lot of strands daily due to the anemia but at least the hair isn't breaking.
Do a caffeine rinse 16 oz of brewed coffee and 1/2 tsp of borax. Leave in a couple hours and massage your scalp. You can use as a leave in as well. This will reduce shedding and dandruff.
I use rosemary and cloves oil , with rosemary water that I make only thing is I was not wearing a plastic bag under bonnet had protective style too I guess bonnet suck juice out
I think the best thing to do is to oversaturate your hair with oils and leave it for 24hours in a plastic cap and a bonnet. At the end of the 24hours, your hair would have absorbed the oils and Al build up would have emulsified.
You can also add Africa's Best kids Shea Butter detangling lotion in your detangling process, it's very good detangling lotion, no pain while detangling, less detangling time, less shedding
Just buy rosemary what ever oil with cloves, then put jar in pot of hot water for 12 minutes then take it out with towel rap towel around it put it in cabinet wait one or two day for it defuse shack it or mix it . Strain it in something with top then use it for every thing oh put on after wash hair , Euless you doing hot oil treatments 30 minutes leave in ok then shampoo and condition ok .
It looks like you’re transitioning and that’s why it’s harder for you to detangler your hair. Oil and conditioner should be included in your routine not just a spray bottle of water. Maybe mix the oil water and the conditioner together, when you’re detangling. You may find that easier.
@ujuofidealstyle - aloe gel can be incorporated with warm water & a drizzle of conditioning oil that your loves. Saturate just enough when your hair is no longer thirsty, do not soak. I prefer doing a continuous spritzing bottle. Also work in sections.
