I Was 14 when DOOKIE came out and i was right in the middle of new punk invasion...there were so many cool new bands those years like NOFX, OFFSPRING or RANCID ( the “more punk” of all in my opinion) but GREEN DAY reached another level, another status...they really became a rock n roll band with that record...not just punk...even if the hardcore punks didnt appreciate too much...of course..
