Well its confirmed that WandaVision is a Squeal to Endgame and a Presequeal to the new Doctor Strange movie. So its likely Doctor Strange could be a mentor to her since they're connected in a way
WandaVision is my favorite Marvel thing ever, no question about it. First, I’m so happy Marvel didn’t make Wanda’s mental state a joke, or deal with it for 5 minutes and move on. depression and grief aren’t something you just get over so fast. It changes people. Second, this show had the absolute best explanation I could have ever hoped for to explain Wanda’s powers and what is going on with Westview. So as I understand, Blue magic is most likely good, purple is evil, and red was supposed to be a myth. Choas magic by the one who would be known only as the Scarlet Witch. Damn that is so good. Marvel and Kevin Fiege are god damn geniuses. Third, the performances in this episode were amazing. Kathryn Hahn is legit terrifying as Agatha Harkness and I’m so happy Marvel didn’t make her the evil mastermind behind everything. I think she is already one of the best MCU villains, right up there with Killmonger and Thanos. And Elizabeth Olsen is just incredible. Give her all the Oscars right now!
There is a Colourless or White version of the Vision in the comics, that is Vision but with no emotions or human tendencies. He isn't technically evil but is suppose to be a anti-vision
Astral vision is used to attack wanda. Vision protects wanda but dies in the process. Astral vision sets off wanda when she hears it's voice. It's ultron!
white vision is ultron. if you take visions body, and take away jarvis and the mind stone, then the only program that’s left is ultron. also, the guy who voiced ultron is on the casting list now.
"She recast Pietro?" "I've been watching WandaVision for the past week now." "I have a theory, but I need more" The level of meta-ness that this show has lmaoo
So Wanda was a witch all along, but got boosted? The chaos magic that Agatha talked about was something that the Elder God Chthon gave to Wanda when she was a child. That gives her the reality altering powers, instead of just moving stuff with her thoughts and mind control. The might have replaced Chthon in this with the Infinity Stone, ancient Eldritch Gods might be a bit too much to add in.
I mean I don't know we got a being like Dormammu in the MCU. While not an Eldrich type being he still sets the precedent for crazy beings like that in the MCU.
We got Dormammu from Dark Dimension and we saw how Kaecilius drew the dark magic from him. It's quite possible that both Agatha and Wanda also drew dark/chaos magic from different dimension that is similar to Dark Dimension. This could lead to multiple dimensions (Multiverse?) and they can introduce so many dark forces like Nightmare, Mephisto, Shuma Gorath, Chthon, etc. (even Doom) for future MCU. It make sense that they're gonna bring Kang the Conquerer in the MCU too because the Quantum realm was shown as part of the "Multiverse" that Ancient One took Strange for a ride in the first movie.
Yea and this is probably why I think Agatha is not a villain on this she knows the true power of Wanda and she was probably scared and try to stop it before Wanda scarlet witch side goes out loose which it probably does bc of dr strange multiverse of madness
I think they could be implying the Pietro and Wanda were mutants, and that's why they were able to survive contact with the mind stone, and it just activated their mutant gene. So they're the first MCU mutants.
But wouldn’t that actually make them mutates not mutants like Deadpool? I think the mind stone just made their powers stronger since Wanda seemed to use her mutant ability to make the bomb defective
They def arent. That would make all the witches mutants too. Marvel is clearly going with the more recent scarlet witch origin comics that specifically state she is a witch not a mutant
I’m starting to think that Wanda when she created her reality and “Vision”, she made of the made of his consciousness. If you remember back in Infinity War,they were trying to save his consciousness when trying to separate him from the Mind Stone. If that is the case, she could essentially put his consciousness back in the body and Vision can technically come back. I hope that can happen because if they make Vision evil my heart will break

Something about the SWORD Director, the line he says; "but he's not yours, Wanda.", instantly made me think of Ultron. Maybe a trace of him escaped and somehow is behind this guy.
Agatha is referring to Wanda being a nexus being which there is only one in every reality. Also nexus was referred to last episode as the name of the depression meds in the ad
Interesting how Agatha's runes did manage to prevent Wanda from using her power. That means she really is using magic, and not some magic-like ability given by the stone. "What is grief, if not love persevering." That is a great line. At least we know now why Vision can't remember "his" previous life. And it certrainly explains why even his component-parts were drawn back inside the hex after being ripped from him... because they never existed in the real world to begin with. Was that a tiny arc reactor they put in as a replacement power-source for the mind stone? I wonder if the real body of Vision still has his old memories and full set of powers. If his memories are stored technology-based... they could have reprogrammed him into a perfect and obedient servant... but then again he is a true AI, so who knows how long that obedience would last if it's there to begin with. I just hope they won't turn it into a Dark Pheonix kind of thing with "Scarlet Witch" being an external being that entered Wanda's body. They certainly did some visual hinting about something like this happening when the Stone awakened her powers. I'm pretty sure that Wanda's family did have some supernatural heritage - dorment or otherwise. Why else would all other test subjects die, except her and Pietro? One of them surviving and being powered up might be a conincidence, but both siblings? No, there must have been a reason beyond coincidence. Mephisto most likely will never come to the MCU. China doesn't allow the literal devil or anything too close to him to be in anything they air. And Disney surely won't want to cut themselves off from all the Chinese money...
From what I got, Agatha confirms Wanda is a omega level threat, I think she’s trying to stop her cause she doesn’t even know her own power. But going about it with the wrong perspective
You know what? I CAN’T STAND fanboys pitting women against women. In comics Carol and Wanda have always been such good friends. Both Captain Marvel and the Scarlet Witch are the most powerful in their own way. It’s impossible to compare chaos magic with physical strength and invulnerability. One of Carol’s weaknesses is magic while Wanda isn’t near as physically strong/invulnerable as Carol. In the MCU both have the Infinity Stones as boost for their powers. Both are powerful. Period.
People used to call Wanda unstable and evil, but honestly she's a saint. If I saw someone cutting up and desecrating the body of my loved one I would do more than just leave silently. I would probably go berserk, especially if I had Wanda's abilities. She's genuinely a good person who's just overcome with grief.
I thought this was general knowledge BUT a couple years ago (right before End Game I’m pretty sure) literally said that the mind stone didn’t GIVE Wanda her powers but only UNLOCKED them I remember when that came out, everyone was wondering if they were insinuating that she was a mutant. I love that they’re explaining her origin like this bc I did NOT see this coming 😆😆
-In the books, she was born with powers(mutant) and its largely a mystery, they dont really know where the witchcraft starts and mutant ends. -The gems here probably enhanced her mutant powers, the Hydra dudes said no one has survived being around the stone.
In the comics, Wanda was born a mutant with probability powers and became a witch when she gained chaos Magic. But in the mcu it's like she was born a witch and suffered a mutation cause of the mind stone. Either way, the outcome is the same, the scarlet witch, a nexus being with mutant and witch powers combined
Early on, around the first two episodes, the idea was going around that Wanda used to watch sitcoms when she was young and I extended the idea that she has found solace in sitcoms all through her life... and I was right. She watched them as a child, she watched them while she was with HYDRA, she watched them with Vision while on the run.
What I am now thinking is that Agatha is acting very morally grey. Like, she's fine with doing creepy and very questionable stuff to isolate and blackmail Wanda into going on this memory-quest, but she may be doing it simply to protect herself, and doesn't trust Wanda because she's something even Agatha has never seen in person.
I cried like a 6 year old girl that skimmed her knee this episode! Hayward hinted to Wanda that she is more powerful than what she thinks....how would he know that? (Thats my Question). I look at Agnes as a DnD Wizard....they learn there craft from books tomes, studies and a ton of practice. And Wanda is like a Sorceror...they have innate magical ability, everything just comes naturally to them. Agnes refers to Wanda being a Nexus being. (OP multiversal role) and even gives her the title the Scarlet Witch which is also a title in the comics.....Wandas Aunt in the comics was the previous Scarlet Witch. Final note: I think that vision forming inside the hex is actually Visions mind that Wanda Absorbed to a degree during her destroying the mind Stone during infinity war...that is what Hayward is after. Thoughts?
Again and again, this episode was AMAZING and SAD. I was crying so hard the whole time when the words TO GROW OLD IN with V came in. She had planned everything for the both of them, a place where they can stay until they grow old, which now will never happen. Also when she said I CAN'T FEEL YOU that somehow relates to infinity war before they were attacked, when she told Vision while touching the stone on his forehead I JUST FEEL YOU. *cries heavily again* Her emotions here, it moved me so much oh my god Elizabeth's acting is W-O-W. This is the first show, fantasy themed, that made me cry hard. Usually it's those real life sad movies that does this to me. This is just so beautiful oh my god. Then when she released that huge amount of power, exploding, bro my eyes went hugeee like woaaahhhhhhh! The stronger her emotions are, the powerful she is. THIS IS THE BEST SERIES YA'LL. The plot, the acting, the actors, the CGI, everything is just perfect. HANDS DOWN TO MARVEL FOR CREATING A MASTERPIECE!!! And I just wanna punch Hayward right freaking now. All those lies he spoke to make Wanda look like the villain. Fvccccckkkkk. She doesn't deserve this at all. But I have this question that has been bugging me now. Since Wanda already had powers even from the very beginning, and the mind stone just made her waayyyy powerful (not give her powers), how did the mindstone have a connection with a scarlet witch?? Does it mean that there are scarlet witches before her??
@17:15, it means that THIS version of Vision has no emotion, so IT won't be holding back when IT confronts Wanda. For context purposes you guys might want to read West Coast Avengers Vision Quest issues 42-50. ( I think I still have those issues in storage, 1st printing & near mint)
18:55 Wanda's mom (Natalya Maximoff) was the previous Scarlet Witch in the comics as the title was pasted down through the family (a more recent retcon). That's clearly not the MCU case, instead just being abilities that someone gets once a generation or something to that effect. Chaos magic is all based around Earth's original demon, Chthon (creator the Darkhold). The Maximoff twins were favorite targets of Chthon for possession. Agatha was the one who trained Wanda to use more than simple spells and in that end she paid the price for it. 23:05 It's not Ultron but they did cut away in AoU when Vision supposedly destroyed the last drone, I've always thought that Vision couldn't bring himself to completely destroy him and was keeping what was left in the Avengers facility, who knows who could've found the remains in the crater after Thanos bombed it.
In the comics: Around the time of Age of Ultron, All of the Wanda's who didn't have powers and Wanda 616 (comics Wanda) came in contact with the Mind Stone too. Wanda Jumpstarted herself. She ALWAYS had magic. The high evolutionary manifested the twins into a normal family in every universe except 616, but the framework for their powers were always there. There is always ONE scarlet witch per universe. Wanda just happens to be most of them. Before her, her "great grandmother" was the Scarlet Witch. Also, on the kids your words not mine. In the comics: They are still real. Their souls are retroactively consecuted (magically force reincarnated in the past and mostly "grown up" by the time they were first born) to different families and dont meet each other or their real parents again until right before their powers manifest. Lastly: that's Ultron. When Ultron had control of Vision his color scheme was that
Something I’ve drawn up is that 1. That’s is either Ultron in visions body now or 2. That it is now Hayward’s new weapon/soldier. ALSO that scene with the mindstone where Wanda got her powers is either from another universe or dimension(because of the costume from the marvel comics) or it is her seeing what she could become.
The line, "What is grief but love persevering" made me tear up. It really got me. Actually, a lot of this episode got me right in the feels. Holy hell. I still have SO many questions, in a good way. I am also pretty happy the one super creepy thing seems to not be the case, lol. It is potentially worse but hey. Cannot wait for next week's episode. Great reaction as always and I hope you guys are well there in Texas.
Obviously this is a superhero story but this whole show has being, at its core, about grief...and it really hit a personal note for me, especially in this recent episode. "What is grief, if not love persevering." 😭
I think she finally has to let him go to defeat Hayward. White Vision is connected to her powers - maybe her love - and she has to let Vision die AGAIN, and with the death of the Vision she created she cuts off white Vision from her powers. Because she dosen't want to let Vision be a weapon. He did nothing but good to her, to the world. And now I go back to my corner and cry silently. :'(
I think the Mind Stone chose her to be the Scarlet Witch. I also feel like white Vision is gonna be a reincarnation of Ultron. This episode was all about Wanda's past and their impact on her. Ultron had a pretty big impact on her and his AI color was blue when he attacked Jarvis. The same color this white Vision has now. Not to mention Ultron's voice actor has been listed in the cast.
I think this may suggest Wanda is a mutant from birth & her moments of grief may be what triggers her mutant powers even more each time. Like Wolverine, Wanda could be both a mutant and a result of an experiment on her. The way I see it, as hateful as Hayward seems, he was also right in a way, though. He knew or at least suspected what Wanda was capable of and with her powers could bring Vision back to life. Also, burying all that Vibranium in the ground could potentially come back to haunt the entire world later, especially given the fight over Vibranium in Wakanda. For all we know, Hayward may have even been warned about that possibility and/or Wanda's full potential by an Avenger. He could not let Wanda leave with Vision's body because of all the unknown factors, but he did let her see him 1 last time and told everyone to stand down when they pointed their guns at her. Technically, Wanda did break into the room itself where Vision's body was being dismantled rather than stay behind the glass. Of course, Hayward also seemed to lie that Wanda stole the body. But, maybe he was talking metaphorically in that Vision's body is recreated in the hex?? So, maybe he thinks the only way she could have recreated Vision is to "steal" him?? I do not know. Maybe Hayward could've been telling the truth when he said in an earlier episode Wanda did not respect Vision's wishes & he seemed genuinely sad and hurt at what Wanda did. Hayward just did not know how exactly it would all happen. That may not excuse Hayward's actions later in trying to fire a missile at Wanda in the hex, but this show seems to be about subverting expectations and not everything is as it seems. So, Wanda is not really the villain (but she also is in a way because everyone in the town is still trapped), Agnes is not really the puppet master who created all this (but she also is in furthering Wanda's delusions & manipulating her to do more), & Hayward may not be the cold-hearted prick he seems. I'm not saying Hayward is totally innocent either. But, building another Vision may not have been Hayward's plan all along, but he may see it as his only choice now to stop Wanda. OR maybe the magic in Wanda did somehow get Vision's real body from SWORD and put him all together.
22:03 Hayward didn't manipulate the footage, if you watch it back, he just shows Wanda breaking the window and floating down. S.W.O.R.D aren't the bad guys either, they're just following the accords and protecting the planet the best they can. Wanda is unstable and emotional, so she's a threat to everyone and the world is 5 years after Thanos snapped his fingers, things have changed.
Remember the commercial mentioned Nexus. Nexus beings are able to traverse the multiverse, which is why she saw herself. A Nexus being capable of spontaneous creation would put her on a level comparable to the Phoenix Force.
Episode 8 easter eggs. The Scarlet Witch is a being like the Phoneix Force using Wanda as a vessel. The Mind stone appears to have been the home/prison of the Scarlet Witch White Vision will have Ultrons voice Agatha can absorb a person's life force when attacked with magic... (watch out Dr Strange) Agatha called Pietro Fietro because he is not Pietro but Peter... Her explanation makes it clear she did not create him, she merely took control of him and used his eyes and ears. Agatha speaks to the Rabbit just before she shows Wanda a transmutation spell... one more villain to come? Agatha also says Wanda is capable of spontaneous creation, meaning Vision is real and so are the kids. The only reason Vision could not leave is because Wanda reinforced the hex... before the hex, things passed through easily: the beekeeper, the drones, Monica. But after the hex, Monica struggled, the space rover couldn't get through, and Vision was torn apart. But, if she allows passage, as she did for the SWORD base, i believe he could walk/fly free. alternatively Wanda can put vision inside of white vision spell used to restrain Agatha is called the bands of bedevilment a magic spell used to mystically restrain physical forms spell used to attack Agatha is called the bolts of bedevilment:a magic spell used to summon or conjure beams used to banish or incinerate.

Great reactions! The moment this episode got me was when Wanda created this new Vision we've been watching with her magic, that was just so sad because it means that, most likely, it's all going to end in tragedy (and, there's their kids too..)
Agatha sucked the power out of the other witches. Pretended to be scared but it was all a ruse. So she is helping Wanda but I think solely for her own purpose. She wants that power. I wonder if Hayward does too. What a snake he is. The mindstone...it’s part of her and was part of vision. From the mindstone she could bring his essence, his soul, back
Based on last week’s commercial. They’re confirming Wanda is a Nexus being, someone who is present in every single alternate dimension. That’s what the Scarlet Witch is, what Agatha was looking for and had heard of. I also think it’s what Wanda saw when she touched the scepter, she saw THE scarlet witch, the platonic ideal of the scarlet witch.
Agatha had to make Wanda go back to revisit her past in order to explore how she unlocked her powers. Which started out when Wanda unknowingly cast a probability hex which cease the Stark bomb from detonating. Which also led to how she unlock the Sceptre which reveal the mind stone yet tap into the Nexus realm where she caught a glimpse of her future self or the powerful being with chaos magic.
What i believe is that Agatha is the therapist giving Wanda that kick to get back out there b4 she loses absolute control and hurts someone she didn't want to as Agatha did in the beginning
how they're wrapping this up next episode. simple. it's whatever fits in 30 minutes and then it goes "please stand by". boom. I'm throwing my TV set out the window.

Agatha is one of the best new characters they have given us these last years!!!
Marvel has had a lot of good villains lately, even if early on they were pretty hit or miss.
So... he’s a robot.

Yeah the ancient gods will probably confuse the hell out of a lot of people. So a stone was much easier to explain.
I mean I don't know we got a being like Dormammu in the MCU. While not an Eldrich type being he still sets the precedent for crazy beings like that in the MCU.
@@kingman450 That is very true, hadn't thought about that. God, I hope they do add Chthon in now, just cap off this series with something crazy.

Interesting how Agatha's runes did manage to prevent Wanda from using her power. That means she really is using magic, and not some magic-like ability given by the stone.
"What is grief, if not love persevering."
That is a great line.

Period.
Imagine if Marvel will surprise us with a movie-length episode for the final episode!

Wanda was always a witch the scarlet witch but her powers were suppressed. The mind stone amplified her powers and woke the scarlet witch inside her.
I thought this was general knowledge BUT a couple years ago (right before End Game I’m pretty sure) literally said that the mind stone didn’t GIVE Wanda her powers but only UNLOCKED them
I remember when that came out, everyone was wondering if they were insinuating that she was a mutant. I love that they’re explaining her origin like this bc I did NOT see this coming 😆😆
I think the "White Vision" at the end will actually be Ultron.
Great reaction. Cant' wait for next week.

-The gems here probably enhanced her mutant powers, the Hydra dudes said no one has survived being around the stone.
The end credits is White Vision, in the comics he's completely emotionless and used as a weapon
Damn that was a sad episode
You guys are honestly my favorite UA-cam reactors. Keep up the great work!
I think what she saw in the Mind Stone is her Nexus Being self - her multiversal presence.
It's White Vision. I have been seeing commenters say that, and say White Vision is in the comics and he will be utterly emotionless.
Absolutely top tier storytelling. Marvel at its finest. This episode is heart wrenching.
Thoughts?

And I just wanna punch Hayward right freaking now. All those lies he spoke to make Wanda look like the villain. Fvccccckkkkk. She doesn't deserve this at all.
But I have this question that has been bugging me now. Since Wanda already had powers even from the very beginning, and the mind stone just made her waayyyy powerful (not give her powers), how did the mindstone have a connection with a scarlet witch?? Does it mean that there are scarlet witches before her??
Kacee would fit right into the MCU 🙂
@17:15, it means that THIS version of Vision has no emotion, so IT won't be holding back when IT confronts Wanda. For context purposes you guys might want to read West Coast Avengers Vision Quest issues 42-50. ( I think I still have those issues in storage, 1st printing & near mint)
Those witches are looking like the kid from the yo magic commerical
Man I love you two. You're goofy and observant and just pass the vibe check all around!
That scene in the bedroom wasn't civil war it was right after age of ultron when they became officially part of the avengers
What you said about rewatching was something I predicted early on. So much about those early episodes make so much more sense now.
Makes you feel happy that you're alive in this time to watch all this amazing MCU movies and TV!
Hayward lied about wanda stealing visions body he seems more to evil to me than agatha
The outfit Monica was wearing in Westview in Ep. 7 looks like Spectrum's costume. Plus, notice how she saw the spectrum when she first entered.

The Scarlet Witch is a being like the Phoneix Force using Wanda as a vessel.
The Mind stone appears to have been the home/prison of the Scarlet Witch
White Vision will have Ultrons voice
Agatha can absorb a person's life force when attacked with magic... (watch out Dr Strange)
Agatha called Pietro Fietro because he is not Pietro but Peter...
But, if she allows passage, as she did for the SWORD base, i believe he could walk/fly free. alternatively Wanda can put vision inside of white vision
spell used to restrain Agatha is called the bands of bedevilment a magic spell used to mystically restrain physical forms
spell used to attack Agatha is called the bolts of bedevilment:a magic spell used to summon or conjure beams used to banish or incinerate.

In 2015 comics wandas mom was previous Scarlett witch
Agatha sucked the power out of the other witches. Pretended to be scared but it was all a ruse. So she is helping Wanda but I think solely for her own purpose. She wants that power. I wonder if Hayward does too. What a snake he is. The mindstone...it’s part of her and was part of vision. From the mindstone she could bring his essence, his soul, back
Vision was originally supposed to be a body for Ultron. I wonder if taking his body and reactivating it will make it a new Ultron.
I really like the thought about how the "Scarlet Witch" is like a legend or myth among witches, probably. It's like she's destined to be all along.
1:57 "
We haven't even heard Wanda be referred to as the Scarlet Witch" Oh, honey...
White Vision is without Vision memories. Wanda is a Mutant. The mind stone amped her abilities!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who cried at the scene when they were kids. It was just so depressing actually watching the events play out.
