My interpretation of this is that you always wear a mask. You're "still pretending" with everyone you encounter. You can see so many different faces in the video as it advances. With every face, you give them a facade of who you really are. And throughout this time you see all these faces in different dimensions and realities, you are "still pretending", depending on how you see that person.

+brentbb0 Animating something as complex as some of Escher's stuff and bringing it together with the fractal effect would be extremely difficult but yeah i get what you're saying. They could have played around with the lighting and dimensions to make it better somehow

The visuals were highly repetitive, boring, and hardy a good representation of Escher's work. It could have been so much better.
