The Battle of the Bulge, a brutal fight to attempt to recapture my city Antwerp.. And these 11 poor souls caught up in it, slaughtered and almost forgotten. I shall go visit them.
I have been to the monument and read the book The Lost Eleven, their story is well known amongst Battle the Bulge historians, the disgrace is the way it was treated by the US and the US military [until relatively recently]. It was the local people and the Belgium government that paid for the memorial, not Americans.
@@Msg4Larry you missed the point Larry. The battle of the Bulge is one of the most well know battles of ww2 yet very few know about the Wereth massacre. It's not mentioned when talked about the battle. Why did they keep this event so secret
This is quite a poor film in many aspects, when they talk about the SS troops and have a picture of Rommel, a man who die way before the battle and who was not SS but army

It took a foreigner to honor African-American soldiers.
What does that say about America?
There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of memorials to American soldiers who lost their lives in WWII, and they apply to every soldier.
