Like most French small vehicle builders Ligier started to address the Sans Permis market. Like every Moped in Europe these were license free in France. This category got included in EU not that long ago. Category LS06e, is what you are looking for, though the Citroen Ami/Opel Rocks-e is heavier and more powerful, not sure how they got away with that. Normally that would have been LS07e, requiring an B(1) license not an AM. First Ligier actually marketed ca. 1980, with the classic 50cc limit on 2 stroke Mopeds: ua-cam.com/video/lsaxjo1I6zs/v-deo.html When did they increase the weight limit by 75 Kg, or a smidge over 21%?

EU needs to update the electric bicycle laws to be closer to what they are in (most) US states. #1 increase the speed limit to 30 km/h (In the us it's 20 mph = 32 km/h) #2 Allow the use of a throttle (unassisted mobility). It doesn't make any sense that you can have a scooter without pedals and it's fine but if you have pedals, you're not allowed to have a throttle. #3 Remove the stupid 250W limit. Increase it to 750W like it's in the US. If some fat guy is riding a bike, the 250Ws is not enough to do anything. Here are the three ebike classes in the US. How come the US can have much better regulation regarding Ebikes than Europe? If you know any European politicians, please ask them to "make Europe great again" regarding cycling and change the current regulations to being somewhat similar to the US class 2. If they made these changes then I think a lot of people would start using ebikes when commuting instead of driving. One of the biggest issues in city riding is the stop-and-go traffic. With the help of a throttle, it would make it so much more enjoyable. "The three classes are defined as follows: Class 1: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. Class 2: eBikes that also have a maximum speed of 20 mph, but are throttle-assisted. Class 3: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 28 mph. All classes limit the motor’s power to 1 horsepower (750W)."
@@ceesheemskerk2397 That's a lot higher than I am used to. I got my full license at 16 (Canada, many years ago).
"The three classes are defined as follows:
Class 1: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph.
For sale in Holland, 16 years of age, and very cheap insurance.... Parking everywhere even on the sidewalk!
Is it not legal to drive a real car in Holland at 16?
@@rich7447 18years of age. Learning at 17 with an adult (with a drivers license)or teacher. Exam at 18 year....
@@ceesheemskerk2397 That's a lot higher than I am used to. I got my full license at 16 (Canada, many years ago). When we lived in Kansas, it was 14 for a permit (learning with a licensed driver/instructor that is at least 21), 15 for a restricted license (can drive directly between home, school and work alone, or anywhere with a licensed driver that is at least 21) and 16 for a full license. Here in Maryland the permit age is 15 years 9 months.
looks cool.
Trunk = Boot, Hood = Bonnet.
Looks way nicer than the Citroen Ami
Great car, if the price would fit the useable performance. They are to expensive. But Ligiers are expensive, even with fossile drive train. They probably do not have high enough production numbers to achieve economy of scale. Maybe the electrification can help with that.
Guys, please look at MG Comet ev in India.
Citroen Ami just laughs at this
To bad it does not have CCS...
All viechles should have the option to charge from DC, even if it is only 20kW....
22kW AC exists…
@@TheStopwatchGod yes, but a 22kW on board charger adds a lot of weight....
The Harley Davidson electric bike had a 16kW CCS, why: limited weight and space...
He said the weight restriction for the class is 400kg.
Better and safer than the French AMI, it appears?
This thing is some kind of nice.
