In my prayers this morning my heart was pouring out for all those affected by the hurricane Helene and Milton and the wild fire in Wyoming 😢😢😢🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻seeing all the devastation and watching people coming together in crisis and watching the Elk running in circles in the fore……it hurts my heart. Let’s all take a moment and pray for all them🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻
hold on to the progress we have already made: There must be no slipping or reversal; as believers, our conduct must be consistent with our spiritual understanding.
Good morning will continue to pray for the victims affected by hurricane Helene and Milton 🙏🙏 Thank you Kaela for blessing me each and every day with HIS WORD MY WALK 🙏🙏❤
Reading all the chapters in one day helps to see it as the letter Paul wrote. Helps to see it as a whole and unlock the truths in the whole. I’m grateful that you put this challenge out there to read the entire book daily. I’m gaining so much
Great insight. He also could mean the past as a whole. Whether good or bad, we have to keep pressing on, pressing forward. It's such a great verse that I love to dive a little deeper into too ☺️
Believers become one with Christ by trusting him for salvation and sharing his life (cp. John 15:1-5). • We become righteous, not by observing the law of Moses, but through faith in Christ. This is God's way of making us right with himself: Salvation cannot be earned, but only received as a free gift (see Rom 1:17; 3:21-26; 4:5-8; Gal 2:16; Eph 2:8-9).
Their god is their appetite may refer to their greed, their sensuality, or their self-interest (cp. Rom 16:18). • they brag about shameful things: This is best understood as a reference to immorality rather than to pride in being circumcised. • Eternal destruction is the ultimate judgment of God for those who reject Christ and live self-centered, sinful lives They are unable to see beyond this life
The identity of the enemies is not known; they might have been (1) Jews or Jewish Christians proud of their circumcision (as in 3:2), whose emphasis on observant Judaism contradicted the cross of Christ; (2) pseudo-believers living a worldly, immoral life (cp. 3:19); or (3) professing believers who had rejected Paul's cross-centered view of the Good News. Christ's crucifixion as a criminal was scandalous and offensive to many (see 1 Cor 1:23; cp. Rom 9:33; 1 Pet 2:8).
Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil-workers! Beware of the mutilation! Jesus used the same term when testing the faith of the Gentile woman who came to Him with a petition to heal her daughter, referring to the Gentiles as “dogs” (Mt 15:26; Mk 7:27). Although in Mark 7:27, Jesus softened the rebuke by calling Gentiles “little dogs” or “puppies.” However, for the Gentile Roman Christians, it was a reminder of the common Roman custom to have a notice at the entrance of houses that read “Cave canem,” or “Beware of the dog” (Navarre Commentary: Philippians, page 444).

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!!! 🙌🏼
I believe when Paul talks about the past, he is referring to when he persecuted the church, he wants to move on and forget that part of his life.
