Hvis Saga kommer til Oslo eller Norge, så kommer også jeg, snart 57 år. Dessverre så har jeg aldri sett Saga Live, og det ville vært fett å se dem på Valle Hovin neste sommer :-)
I'm eternally grateful that the German public and sales made this band go on for several decades. If Germany wouldn't have accepted the band with open arms, the band might have ended prematurely... (A Belgian fan)
Agreed, thanks to our German (and Northern European) friends for allowing our homeboys to continue! We're grateful that you welcomed them when a lot of us didn't. I wasn't born until 2002, but if I was around then, I would have made sure they got the popularity they so deserve. -A Canadian fan 🇨🇦👋🙏🇩🇪🇸🇪🇧🇪🇩🇰🇵🇱
Just too bad Jim's 'keytar' is hardly audible here, along with his Minimoog. Sadler's bass is tuned slightly sharp also. Those things do happen in a festival situation, I guess.
I love these old Rock Am Ring videos as I was there. Saga was the reason I truly wanted to go, but liked a lot of the bands too. Mink Deville was the only band I didn't really care for, and never did. It was a great two day Rock festival, beautiful weather, beautiful girls, and an awesome lineup. Didn't know at the time that the first Rock Am Ring would continue as long as it has. Fun being a little part of history. These vids really make me miss those carefree days. When you see the Canadian flag, my friends and I were about 20 feet to the left and rear. Rock on! 🤘🙂
I was there too. I have a friend here in Switzerland and he always say that nobody knows Rick Springfield expect you...😃😃 U2 and Chris de Burgh as headliner. Nobody believe that 😅
@@jenelcemNice! The thing I remember most about Rick Springfield was the big missile balloon that they threw out into the crowd. That was a great concert!!!
That's what I thought! I thought it looked like Steve Wasn't Jim still in the band when Steve was there? Jw cuz Michael Sadler is playing bass and I don't see Jim??
Born in 65, Toronto, absolutlety adored Saga growing up.
Brilliant tune from an amazing band.
Great Canadian Band and very underrated group. I love these guys. Steve Negus was one of my biggest drumming influences.

One is me.
I saw/hear them 2002 in Bonn.
One of the best Live-Bands...

Yeah man, i remember them being pretty big in Germany during the 80's, quite interesting, Swedish fan here.
That's true. Danish fan here
Yeah... Never visited my country. Polish fan here...

huge norwegian fan here from 1980s! Countless vinyls where purchased!! Now living in the real Saga land of Ontario!
Sie zu hören ist das eine ,sie aber live zu sehen das andere !! Richtig gut 💫💫
I’m from Puerto Rico and this band is greatly appreciated and loved for all of us. Saga knows how much this band mean to us. ❤
One of the best performance that day ❤️ Saga 💯👏
Une des meilleures avec "Don't be late".
👏👍😭
I m from Norway, and still love Saga:-) The best band with 20 or more top melodies untill they suddenly fell down to a lover level !
This sounds like the version used on the album In Transit. Love love this song!
Yes sir, awesome album!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The randomness of great musicians and melodies. Puerto Rico, Canada and Germany, united!
Duets& Duels between Jim Gilmour on Moog Liberation vs Ian Crichton on guitar are epics 🎵💕

I wouldn't call it "vs" :0))
@@Retroscoop - The only advantage Ian has in this particular performance of the song is Volume 😄
Ian best guitar player😊
Just amazing

1985, one year after finishing school.... 😁🏫🚸❤️
Best Canadian band by far
Best debilitus by far.
I really like Saga but you can't ignore Rush. Rush is one of my absolute favorites, if not the favorite!
Saludos desde Venezuela
Mine and brother
( R. I. ✌️) Changed our musical Views After Seeing this band Live! 🤟🎸🎹🎤🥁🔥♾️💪
before Dream Theater existed, SAGA has conquered the world..
I wouldn't call them bestsellers, except maybe just one album. But I'm glad they kept stubbornly coming back to the audiences...
Love Saga ❤
MASTERS
Where are they now? They are so awesome progrock
Saga is alive and well. Jim Crichton quit the band in 2019. New album is going to be released in 2021.
Wow
They are still playing concerts 2023....3 original members (more or less) left... Michael Sadler, Ian Crichton and Jim Gilmour...
whooooooooooooooooooo!! now where is my damn machine?? i was still in HIGH SCHOOL.
CLASIC ROCK FOR EVER
That's either Brian Doerner or a Nascar driver on percussions there, I can't tell which.
Steve Negus. Founding member of SAGA.
@@claudiakanzler Steve Negus, awesome!

I have been looking for it on karaoke as well. Doesn't exist!!
