    • Always 7 or more days. Longest was 2 weeks.
    • Flow can be quite heavy at times.
    • On rare occasions, one extremely painful cramp, but not per period. Maybe every 2nd or 3rd.
    • Leakage isn't uncommon (though the pads I use are pretty good, there's always bound to have slight accidents at least twice, usually more).
    • Sometimes discomfort/feeling akin to extreme pressure applied externally.
    • Light ovarian cramps a few days before initial startup.
    • Far more tired and lazier than usual during it all, with slightly amplified anxiety (though that might be normal). With the past few months I tend to get a little hot & bothered, so to speak.
    • Even when I'm clean for the other 3 weeks there's also these ultra-rare instances where it feels like my uterus is.... twitching or fluttering?
    All I can think of for now at least.

      Hello, Based on your symptoms of prolonged bleeding, heavy flow, occasional intense cramps, leakage, discomfort, pre-menstrual ovarian cramps, fatigue, amplified anxiety, and rare uterine sensations, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for evaluation. These symptoms may indicate underlying issues that require attention and personalized management.

    For the past 2 years, I've been spotting rather than having regular periods. Not every month, but for about 2-3 months, my periods come on time. In other months, there is only spotting & no flow. Why is this happening? I'm underweight.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  4 місяці тому +2

      Irregular periods, including spotting instead of a regular flow, can be caused by a variety of factors, and being underweight can indeed contribute to menstrual irregularities. It's essential to consult with a healthcare provider if you're experiencing irregular periods or spotting, especially if it's been ongoing for an extended period of time. Hello. During ovulation, I tend to have spotting but it’s more like clots that happen with the ovulation. It’s red/dark red and lasts about three to four days. I wear a thin pad during these days and it doesn’t fill it up but it seems like too much blood than what you described as normal spotting. Any help?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  5 місяців тому

      Experiencing spotting with clots during ovulation can be concerning, especially if it seems to be more than what is typically considered normal. While some spotting during ovulation can be normal for some individuals, the presence of clots and the amount of blood you're describing may warrant further evaluation by a healthcare professional.
      There could be various reasons for this type of bleeding, including hormonal fluctuations, cervical irritation, or potential underlying medical conditions such as ovarian cysts or endometriosis. It's essential to discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and appropriate management.

    Hey! So, my periods are usually pretty regular, but in little over two weeks ago I had unprotected intercourse, but I am been feeling fine. However, my period was expected to come on a few days ago. I would say that I am a few days late, but also I haven’t been feeling any different - the only thing that I would say is that I’ve been pretty stressed out recently with a lot of things in my life. So, I’m thinking that my period could be delayed because of stress? Also, I had intercourse again two days ago to see if I could try to force my period on, but the intercourse ended up being extremely painful and I started bleeding, but since then, the blood has stopped. So, I am not sure when my period should come on, do you have any idea about what could be happening?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  5 місяців тому +1

      It's entirely possible that stress could be causing a delay in your menstrual cycle. Stress can disrupt hormone levels, which can, in turn, affect the timing of your period. Additionally, experiencing painful intercourse followed by bleeding could indicate other issues such as vaginal dryness, infection, or injury. It's essential to listen to your body and take note of any unusual symptoms.
      If you're concerned about pregnancy, it's crucial to take a home pregnancy test to rule it out. However, since you've mentioned having unprotected intercourse and experiencing bleeding after intercourse, it might be wise to consult with a healthcare professional.

      Irregular periods can be caused by a range of factors, from stress and changes in weight to hormonal imbalances or health conditions like PCOS. It doesn't feel like my regular period pain but is sore sometimes (this is day 2 of this bleeding). This is 3/4 days before my period and im usually on time or only a day early or late. I am a 16 year old girl, I started menstruating at the age of 12, and when I turned 13, I already had irregular periods. As a result of going to the doctors, we concluded that I have follicular cysts in both ovaries of 22 millimeters. Today is the almost second month of menstrual bleeding. The doctor prescribed the contraceptive "Jessie", which we refused to take (due to contraindications). We finally settled on Duphaston, which I have to take two pills a day for 10 days after the cycle, for 3 months. What do you recommend? Should I check my estrogen and progesterone? Is it dangerous to bleed for such a long time at my age? How rare is it to have prolonged bleeding? Please answer I'm so worried😭😭

      @premomfertility  Місяць тому

      Hello, A period lasting only 3 days can be within the range of normal for some individuals, especially if it's consistent for you. However, if you notice any sudden changes in your menstrual cycle, such as a significant decrease in duration or unusual spotting, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider. Spotting after your period may also be normal for some women, but if it's accompanied by other symptoms or continues for an extended period, it's best to seek medical advice to rule out any underlying issues.

      Hi there! Implantation bleeding is typically very light and only results in spotting or light pinkish discharge. It is highly unlikely for implantation bleeding to fill more than 4 to 5 pads a day. If you are experiencing heavy bleeding, it is more likely to be menstrual bleeding or some other type of issue, and it is important to consult with your healthcare provider for a proper evaluation. Both were happened within cycle. Then after 1 week got light flow bleeding of dark brown colour with symptoms of nausea, stomachache, leg and back pain, cold and bleeding was for 3 days. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Please reply.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  5 місяців тому

      Taking emergency contraception like Unwanted 72 within 72 hours (or up to 80 hours) after unprotected intercourse can help reduce the risk of pregnancy, but it's not 100% effective. Since you had unprotected intercourse again within your cycle after taking the emergency contraception, there is a possibility of pregnancy, especially if it occurred around your fertile window.
      The symptoms you're experiencing, such as nausea, stomachache, leg and back pain, and cold, can sometimes be associated with pregnancy, but they are not definitive signs. The light flow bleeding of dark brown color could be due to various reasons, including hormonal changes, the effect of emergency contraception, or implantation bleeding (which can occur when a fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine lining).
      The only way to know for sure if you're pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. If you're concerned about pregnancy, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and guidance.

      Hello, Heavy flow differs for each person. It usually means soaking through more than one pad or tampon per hour for several hours. It's always best to talk to a doctor for more details.

      DPO stands for "days past ovulation". DPO is used to track the time since ovulation occurred, which is important for understanding the timing of implantation, taking pregnancy tests, and recognizing early pregnancy symptoms. Hope this helps!

      Experiencing irregular periods, especially during the first few cycles after menarche (the first menstrual period), is quite common and usually nothing to worry about. It can take some time for your body to establish a regular menstrual cycle. However, it's essential to monitor any changes and discuss them with a healthcare provider, especially considering you mentioned having anemia❤️

      @premomfertility  2 місяці тому +1

      Implantation bleeding typically occurs about 6 to 12 days after conception, which is around the time of the expected period. It is usually lighter in volume compared to menstrual bleeding and may be described as spotting or light bleeding and the blood can be pink, red, or brownish.
      For period bleeding, it happens regularly, approximately every 28 days in the menstrual cycle. It is generally heavier and can vary from light to heavy, with a flow that may include clots and the blood can range from bright red to dark brown and may contain clots.
      If you're unsure whether what you're experiencing is a period or related to an implant, it's very important to consult with a healthcare provider. They can help determine the cause and provide appropriate advice or treatment.

      It's important to note that while some amount of clotting can be normal, especially with heavier flows, the presence of large or numerous clots could be a sign of an underlying issue. If you're concerned about the clotting in your menstrual blood, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider.
