They're curious for sure, but I also think they're very paranoid about almost everything. Even in their natural habitat they approach everything with an abundance of caution. It's part of what makes them so endearing.
Endearing? They live a life of comfort, free food , free shelter, free healthcare, they eat, sleep and crap all day, they contribute absolutely nothing, only to turn on the hand that feeds them?

These orangutans are too humanized and the vets and zookeepers allow the female orangutans to breed unnaturally. They will not survive in the wild. However, they should be placed in sanctuaries in Borneo or Sumatra depending on their kind.
