Well, look like DevSisters managed to actually get their shit together. That's a nice start. Now they need to reform their costume gacha and make the Mystic Gold variants free to obtain! Or lock them behind simple missions, at least.
A simple solution for this would be to scrap the Ancient+ rarity, and replace it with a version of the Trial Ground for the Ancients* (Light of True Resolution could be used as DC's version of the life gems the Legendaries use). Awakened Soul Jam** can be the item used for powering up the Ancients (since they already have their Soul Jams at this point). As for DC's new look/attacks/voice lines, it could be added as a costume*** (they did it with Black Pearl, so we know it can be done). *This would apply to ALL the ancients (HB,PV, GC, and WL when they eventually get their upgrades). **This would give meaning to the Soul Jam other than "fancy jewel to decorate the heroes' weapons". ***This would satisfy players who want to keep DC's original look while upgrading him.
As an f2p player, sure, the new rarity sucks, and does sound excessive but you don’t alwayse need the cookie, plus the special gacha will make them easily obtainable, even if you don’t get em, I’ve hardly ever had a case so bad I’d have to pay for rolls
