It's a crime that Jensen Ackles doesn't even have an Emmy nomination for Dean Winchester. If he were on any other network, any other genre, he'd have a shelf full of awards by now.
Jensen is one hell of an actor, I can't even understand why he doesn't cast in big movies? He is so freaking good-looking and his acting skills are amazing in comedy and drama moments alike!
Liza Kolganova he said at a convention that between supernatural and spending time with family he ends up turning down movie roles because he just doesn't have the time
"You are not a child" "I never was" is the one that breaks my heart. Such a simple scene but it sums up so much of his life - and the fact that it's his Mom who said that to him? Just devastating. Jensen is amazing.
I still think the most powerful Dean scene is when he is sitting in the room with God, and tells him " there are wars and famine and death... And you did nothing." with tears streaming down his face. That whole scene was too good.
They missed the scene that gets me every time. I don't remember what episode it was, but Mary was talking to Dean and Sam and told Dean "You are not a child," as if Dean was a spoiled child expecting to be coddled or some shit, and then Dean responds with "I never was." Jensen's delivery of that line was so perfect it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest and ripped apart by a hellhound...that man deserves an award for that performance...
Remember: Dean lost his Father and his half-brother. His Son and the Women he loved can't remember him. He lost his Brother, his Angel and his Father Figure(Bobby) several times. Also tried to warn Mary and John several times. AND he went to hell...but he didn't give up on life!
Jensen really is a phenomenal actor. He brought the character of Dean Winchester to life. I honestly don't think Dean could be portrayed better. He is amazingly attractive, but just forget about that for a second. He makes me feel like I know Dean. When he laughs, I'm laughing along with him. When he cries, I'm fucking bawling. He created a character that you can't help to fall in love with. He really is one of the best actors I have seen by far.
absolutely. Jensen is responsible for the dean(badass, brave, loyal, caring, leader etc) that we know & general audience loves. kripke's dean is described in the episode what is & what should never be, & has nothing to do with Jensen's dean. so that the character of dean is so fleshed out/layered, & because of it became iconic, is completely Jensen's doing. any other actor would have went with kripke's idea aka the sidekick loser. thank god for Jensen otherwise we wouldn't have such an awesome character on screen
@@cass80xj the studio started to pander to twitter, tumbler, the comic con goers, the nerds, fanfic writers, thats what changed dean. they gave promotion on social media like no other section of their audience did. jensen didn't want to loose his job whining about what his character should and shouldn't do/be, so he went along with it. i didnt even watch kripkes early season first and i got a gangster, serial killer, prejudice, criminal type, jerk total looser vibe off him at times. those brave loyal caring moments always seemed forced to me, what do ya know? they actually where deliberately forced to make him more likable for tween and teen girls. thats not awesome.
Dean is the only character in SPN that can bring me to tears. Masks his pain and inner torment with crude jokes, puns, whisky and PIE. But you always get emotional when he starts to bare his soul, then when he sheds a tear boom, your eyes tear up.
Dean is such a beautiful character played astoundingly by Jensen Ackles. His lack of an Emmy nomination is something that needs to be rectified post haste.
I don't think the show would have lasted as long if Jensen wasn't able to bring so much emotion to this character, who BTW, was basically supposed to be Sam's sidekick. And, let's face it, he has the face of a greek god.
I really love Dean, he is my favourite character by far. Sam is nice and cute but Dean is a pretty much complex character. At first sight you only see this sarcastic, ironic, playboy, sometimes narcissist guy but you only need to watch him to know he is indeed the most human, selfless and strongest character in the show. He is always trying to keep going, trying to hide his pain, his need for love. He breaks my heart everytime he thinks he is not enough, everytime he feels like the bad brother, the bad guy, the weakiest, because he is not. He's always trying to hide how hurt and betrayed he feels sometimes for Sam's actions, for his parent's actions. Sometimes I hate how Sam is "the good guy" even when he has made a lot of huge mistakes, but Dean is always treated like the bad guy when he is not. He is not perfect, but he is imperfectly perfect to me.
Michela Sole No of course not Dean had done many wrongs in his life maybe much more than Sam and they both are wonderful characters who tries they're best to make up for the mistakes they had done
@@michelasole6503 Sam betrayed him a lot of times!and broke his heart a lot of times!Sam is the selfish jealous brother!he always was!his actions against Sam?really!as long as I now Dean never mistreated Sam unless when he did something stupid!

Ikr? Dean can break my heart with a breath. And I’ll admit at first it was his handsomeness that drew me in but at this point the character is so well and profoundly developed he could be horribly disfigured in the next episode and I’d love him the same.
Scene number 2. breaks me every time again. The way he's like: "What am I supposed to do?" Because he really doesn't know. He feels like his whole right to exist depends on Sam. If there's no little Sammy to protect, then what the hell is he supposed to do? This guy has some serious selfworth issues. 😢
Dean destroying baby makes me cry everytime. Knowing how much he loves that car, that he was so broken up inside that he took it out on baby. Showed how much he was hurting 😭
I love Supernatural and will stay with it to the end, but I'm pretty convinced his acting is one of the major reasons the show has lasted so long and stayed so compelling.
That is why season 8's finale is my most favorite yet heart breaking finales of the whole series. A lot of people point to season 5's finale as being the best but in my opinion, season 8's finale easily tops it. Especially when the angels fell from heaven, that was hard to watch as well
I have depression, bipolar, and PTSD. I've attempted suicide twice. the last one of Dean crying him saying "I should I couldn't feel anything" I've been there. that kind of pain...you'll do anything to make it stop. Jensen broke my heart in the last clip. no one should ever feel that kind of pain. I feel it. #SPNFamily
Hey , never forget that you're not alone. Even if it feels like that , even when the world is closing in , people are out here , who understand you exactly.
Jensen is amazing. You forgot an amazing scene though. When Dean is talking to Chuck/God and he gives him the speech asking where he was all those years.
He broke my heart and made me cry like hell lot more than just 8 times I guess. He is a phenomenonal person and every thing he does leaves a deep impact behind in our heart
Because if they dont remember him then they can't be used against him. Yes he still remembers them but the fact that they dont remember him makes it harder for someone to trick them into a situation to be used against him.
AthenaGoddess Yeah, but I think that’s the point. As painful as it may be, someone like him can never truly have happiness, because his heart will ALWAYS get broken.
To whoever said Dean almost had happiness had he not erased Lisa and Ben's memories of him...You're right. He would've had happiness, but it would've been at their expense. They were almost killed because of him.
The number one saddest scene in the entire series was when Sam has to go kill his werewolf girlfriend, and all you see is Dean looking helpless and crying and jumps at the sound of the gun shot. That scene always gets me
that creature only killed to eat, meanwhile the boys kill out of a nazi like self righteousness and with the blood thirst of a serial killer. i didnt feel bad for dean. dean was an ice cold killer. that episode was highly disturbing.
I CAN NEVER GET OVER DEANS VOICE BREAKING (and my heart) WHEN HE FINDS CHARLIE IN THE BATH TUB... juST THE WAY HE SAYS HER NAME OHMYGOD, GOOSEBUMPS AND SOBS ALL ROUND
Jensen is an amazing actor, his facial expression are always on point, he can act all moods sad, broken, angry, happy, serious... Everything he should be getting recognition.. And casted in big movies!!!
All of these were great picks. I loved all of these scenes, but one of my faves that wasn't in the selectiom, was when Dean was talking to God about why he didn't do anything to help humanity when things were going to shit. Definitely one of my favorites.
This man deserves a freaking Emmy. He's one hell of an actor, who can do every emotion flawlessly. He can do goofy, flirty, broken and everything in between effortlessly. He's one of the best actors around and I believe he doesn't get enough recognition.
One of the saddest moments for me is when Sam's crying because he doesn't wanna kill Madison. Dean: It's ok Sammy, i got this one. You don't have to do it. Sam: ~crying~ Yes i do.
Not that you will see my comment, but Dean wasn't supposed to cry in that scene but seeing Jared cry in that scene made Jensen cry. That is a very sad moment.
For Me thats the reason to like dean every true supernatural fan knows how sensitive dean can be in some moments and those are this moments when he breakes our hearts
I just saw the memory loss episode for the first time last night. Toward the end of her life, my grandmother had a stroke and had a lot of memory trouble. The look of confusion, then clarity of knowing she was confused but unable to help it, then back to confusion, mixed with frustration and sadness--Ackles really nailed that look. I wonder if he's spent time around memory loss-sufferers. Great actor!
I still remember the conversation Dean had with God and God told him not to mistake him as his father , the emotions in his eyes ....that was so good acting .. i am love that scene .
Sнαяση Cαятєя that just goes to show how screwed up his life is. i mean at first glance u sympathise with Sam for not getting the normal life he wanted but then u realize dean has been through so much he can't even express himself anymore.
jensen is a phenomenal actor! and though all of these are very sad, one of the ones who strikes the hardest number four, mainly because of how they chose to shoot it. with no music, with the old supernatural lighting. just straight up dean recking cars. and shit, I can't tell you how much I cried watching nr. 1. every time I've watched it.
The most heartbreaking scene for me was when Sam says - you didn't save me for me but you did it for you ( after all that he went through to save Sam). To top that he went ahead and says, I would not save you if the situation is reversed.. I cry every time I see this part 😭
There's the scene 3:10 where Dean is fighting with his evil self. When he talks about how his father was obsessed. How his father wasn't there for Sam he was. And then he says I don't deserve what he did to me and I don't deserve to go to hell. I've watched that episode a few times and it always gets me. You see that he is vulnerable. Everyone always talks about Dean talking about his experience in hell. All the stuff leading up to his death by the hell hounds in S3 finale...Sam can only stand there and watch his brother being ripped up...I cried more
These are very good picks. An honorable mention would be that episode where the guy traps Dean and Sam in a dream and Dean gets in a fight with himself saying how his dad was never there for Sammy, he always was and how he doesn't deserve to go to hell. I swear that was one of the most intense and heart breaking moments of the series. Not to mention when Dean saw himself turn into a Demon and him predicting that is who he's going to become *cough season 10 cough*
Top 3 for me was when Jake killed Sam and Dean was holding him in his arms. 2nd was him telling Mary he hated her. 3rd, and I feel this one is underrated, is in the season 3 episode "Dream A Little Dream" when he was beating up on himself in the dream world and said that he didn't deserve to go to hell.
I hope by the time the series ends, the writers will find a way to restore Ben & Lisa's memories so they can finally be a family with Dean. He deserves a normal life after everything he's been through.
Ik I'm very late to the party, but one of the most heart wrenching scenes for me was when Dean threw his necklace away....but he redeemed himself by saying that he didn't need it to show how he felt about his Sammy
the strong, silent and almost excessively joyful ones are those with the most sensitive, tortured souls sometimes...Dean always held onto the belief that he can't have the luxury of 'feeling' because he had a job of taking care of his family...him warning his mom - that's really painful, letting go of lisa and ben when they're some of the good things that've ever happened to him...man I can only imagine 'a character' being in such pain I think, cuz in reality? This should not be anyone's life...
The season 2 finale was heartbreaking. When Dean saw that Sam had died.......I just can't. No words can describe the true emotions in that moment. And then, when Dean tried to warn his mum not to go to Sam the night the Yellow Eyed-Demon comes? I was in tears watching that. Jensen's acting skills are phenomenal. He truly is a legend.
For the last two.....God they hit my heart so hard. They do always- always the same. Even with the context of Jensen as an actor and him just going through the scene, you'd still think he'd actually lost his brother, or even gone through hell and torn up those souls. You can see and feel the pain to the very bone. You can watch him glimpse back into his memories at the sensation of inflicting that pain. How? How can he even remember- act like he remembers so vividly? It's beyond me.
For me it was watching him, the changes in him, trying to deal with first, his time in Hell, and then again, in Purgatory. I've seen it too many times, both in myself and my buddies coming back from deployments. Every one seems to rip more away from you, piece at a time. It killed me, watching Dean have to deal with a lot of that same shit, because its bad enough to go through it yourself, but to see someone else, someone you care for go through it (yes Dean is a fictional character but that just shows what a fkin awesome actor Jensen is) and you can't do shit about it...you can't stop it and you can't help them...it just ripped me apart. Granted its so nuanced that I don't think they could sum it up w just a clip or two.
Only 8?? He is a walking talking heartbreak...if pain is to have a tangible form it would be Dean Winchester. Oh and I didn't couldn't watch the whole thing... I can't do it
I love both their acting, due to Jensen playing Dean emotion is hard for dean so when it comes out it's painful & hard to watch because he's our broken but strong one, Jared playing sam well Sam's emotions fall more freely so he's always got us wanting to help and make him feel better But honestly they are both beyond anyone's help only they can help each other and that's why the chemistry between J2 is amazing
The one that gets me the most is the season finale of season 10. Just befomn re Dean killed Death. "Close your eyes, Sammy!" Damn, these Winchesters making everyone cry.
I've always thought that Super Natural should have been called "Welp...so how do we break Dean Winchester this Season?" But it's a fairly long title....
It's a crime that Jensen Ackles doesn't even have an Emmy nomination for Dean Winchester. If he were on any other network, any other genre, he'd have a shelf full of awards by now.

This man deserves a freaking Emmy. He's one hell of an actor, who can do every emotion flawlessly. He can do goofy, flirty, broken and everything in between effortlessly. He's one of the best actors around and I believe he doesn't get enough recognition.
QUIT THE ONE WHERE HE CAN NO LONGER REMEMBER HIS NAME GIVES ME CHILLS EVERY TIME
Dean cries, I cry. It's just that simple.
When Dean breaks down I cry because he is human in a fight against all odds he doesn't know WTF to do in these moments of pain
😭😭Jensen is a phenomenal actor 😭😭
I love you, Jensen Ackles.
You're are the most beautiful, amazing and perfect man in this world.
One of the saddest moments for me is when Sam's crying because he doesn't wanna kill Madison. Dean: It's ok Sammy, i got this one. You don't have to do it. Sam: ~crying~ Yes i do.
I totally agree ...of any episode ..this was the one that made me cry the most
Yes, that one tear down Dean's cheek is everything.
I still cry every time I see that episode.
eddiezj yeah one of the best scenes in the entire show, never forgot that one
I really hope we see Jensen in a lot more movies soon he's such a good actor
I think we will. They spent about 7-8 months on location at a time filming Supernatural. Movie shoots are much shorter as far as time spent on set.
I still remember the conversation Dean had with God and God told him not to mistake him as his father , the emotions in his eyes ....that was so good acting .. i am love that scene .
It's as simple as Dean crys I cry. 😭
How the hell is Dean loosing his memory only #6??????
Sнαяση Cαятєя agree I cry to that part everytime
Sнαяση Cαятєя that just goes to show how screwed up his life is. i mean at first glance u sympathise with Sam for not getting the normal life he wanted but then u realize dean has been through so much he can't even express himself anymore.
Sнαяση Cαятєя It was some kind of spell or sth
ellie Kemileva i know, I'm saying that it should be like #3 or something
Sнαяση Cαятєя damn I'd make them all #1 if I could tbh
Makes me want to rewatch the show after I literally just finished binge watching all 12 seasons
Awesome actor . Way underated . Needs to be given more credit
jensen is a phenomenal actor! and though all of these are very sad, one of the ones who strikes the hardest number four, mainly because of how they chose to shoot it. with no music, with the old supernatural lighting. just straight up dean recking cars. and shit, I can't tell you how much I cried watching nr. 1. every time I've watched it.
Jensen is one of the best actors out there...these scenes really showcase this as well...
When he's crying, you can bet your ass i'm crying too. This guy, this character may be tough on the outside but he is soft on the inside.
All the stuff leading up to his death by the hell hounds in S3 finale...Sam can only stand there and watch his brother being ripped up...I cried more
It takes a lot to make me teary, Jensen does it every time. What an actor!
Oh god my heart 😭😭 ugly tears every time. He's such a great actor.
Dean always breaks my heart. His sense of responsibility and never able to be happy because of everything he carries, just tears me up inside for him.
But seriously, why hasn't this guy (or Moose) not have more awards for their acting?!?
I LITERALLY cried at the Dean losing his memory part. It was so freaking sad. It was the first time a tv show made me cry.
Jensen best actor and Dean best caracter!
How is Jensen so good??? Like he needs an Oscar, Emmy, whatever award he can. Idc he deserves it
when he prayed to god when Sam was getting tortured in that chamber..that was heartbreaking too
These are very good picks.
Please don't hate but the BEST! performance by Jensen was in season 12 where he forgives his mum. When he says "I hate you" my heart breaks.
The man is brilliant
The end of Heart got me. Yeah, it was sad for Sam, but I didn't lose it until that one single tear rolled down Dean's cheek. 😢
Number one always gets me. Damn these Winchester brothers giving me emotions.
the strong, silent and almost excessively joyful ones are those with the most sensitive, tortured souls sometimes...Dean always held onto the belief that he can't have the luxury of 'feeling' because he had a job of taking care of his family...him warning his mom - that's really painful, letting go of lisa and ben when they're some of the good things that've ever happened to him...man I can only imagine 'a character' being in such pain I think, cuz in reality? This should not be anyone's life...
Oh sure yeah that was great. Just what I needed, a big ol heaping helping of heart wrenching sadness.
I love the show and Jensen Ackles is phenomenal in all drama and comedy scenes. My heart hurts after watching this.
I loved that memory loss one. It’s a huge fear of mine and to see it acted out in fruition was incredibly powerful and touching to me.
Only 8?? He is a walking talking heartbreak...if pain is to have a tangible form it would be Dean Winchester. Oh and I didn't couldn't watch the whole thing... I can't do it
I've watched a lot of sad moments in movies and TV shows, but I never cried until I watched SPN. I love these guys and the actors are so amazing.
What a fantastic actor i think he is one of the best on tv
The one that gets me the most is the season finale of season 10. Just befomn re Dean killed Death. "Close your eyes, Sammy!" Damn, these Winchesters making everyone cry.
Tejashwi Pradhan true!
BLESS HIM ❤️ HE IS SUCH A PHENOMENAL ACTOR, PERSON, DAD, HUSBAND, HUMAN BEING❤️ INSPIRATION❤️
So many tears. I can't. 😭😭😭
I feel like a major moment that gets me is in Season 5 The End when Dean is talking to Lucifer in Sam. “We’ll always end up here” - devastating
I've always thought that Super Natural should have been called "Welp...so how do we break Dean Winchester this Season?" But it's a fairly long title....
I would give him everything to make him happy.. Our precious...
