I’m taking on a new position as FOH manager in a couple weeks at a casual diner that I’ve served at for 17 years. This idea of systems is such a great idea and is something I plan on fully utilizing. Thank you for the great idea. It really helps me to have a specific goal on how I’m going to go forward.
Been in this business for over 20 years. Going on an interview today for a new management role; and you’re videos are so helpful! Reminded me of some things I haven’t thought about plus learned some new tips & tricks! Thanks man!
Good afternoon Boss, I am been following you since 2years so here I came to Thank you. And at the same time to ask you what are the Point as an manger need to be focus? Please advice me!
hey hope your doing well ... I am a graphic designer and I do a lot of branding, packaging and other designs that are necessary for every business ... If you are interested in us working together or having questions about my services I can leave you my contacts here.
Yes, yes, yes! I'd be happy to speak with you sometime on this subject. It's something that a lot of organizational psychologists, like myself, know a great deal about.
correct me if i'm wrong but all the checklists, systems, etc are relevant only to prior or after the let's say "service" of the restaurant, if we consider the service time where the waiters are going to serve people, and then they don't do the job right, what do you do? there is a big amount of actions to do in a service and let's say a few waiters disparage those actions, then there must be management, and you're right, as many times as i try to tell them that they did something wrong they don't get it.
For sure and that's where training comes in. Ryan uses a 5 step process for all his training. Watch these and see if they help: therestaurantboss.com/5-step-restaurant-employee-training-model/ therestaurantboss.com/train-restaurant-employees-maximum-productivity/ therestaurantboss.com/hire-train-better-restaurant-staff/ -Dawn, Team TRB
Hello Ryan. Could you do a video about how to disagree respectfully with your supervisor? I work fast food and some of the shift leads are young and inexperienced. How do i correct them without "stepping on toes"?
Not that I'm aware of. When we're talking to clients about job descriptions and responsibilities, it can be different for every restaurant. What one needs from a general manager might not be needed in another. If you have some specific questions or challenges, I'd love to hear them and I can try to get the answers in an upcoming video for you. support@therestaurantboss.com -Dawn, Team TRB
I have been doing my job cooking longer than my boss and she is constantly managing me and telling me how to do things and how to cook. Like let me do my job i have been doing it long enough fir over 10 years

Hey Ryan, I have a question for pricing of food. Usually, we have different prices for takeaways and dine-in food. I am thinking to make the same price as I had quite a few issues in the past with that sort of pricing. Would it be wise to do that or not? What's your suggestion on this?
We are suggesting that you increase pricing for online platforms from 10% - 25% depending on the item, demand, delivery charges etc. It is absolutely becoming acceptable and a non-issue for most consumers to pay more online.
hey hope your doing well ... I am a graphic designer and I do a lot of branding, packaging and other designs that are necessary for every business ... If you are interested in us working together or having questions about my services I can leave you my contacts here.
I was once at a restaurant where the manager was kind of rude. Or actually, it was the den at my university. I threw a sandwich basket in the garbage, and the manager told me it wasn't disposable and took it out, explaining why it needed to be on the food conveyor belt. After I apologized, she said, "It's okay. Just don't let it happen again." Sure, it wasn't *exactly* a strict tone *...per se...* but I still thought that was kind of a rude way to reply to my apology. It was an honest mistake and obviously I understood right from wrong in that moment. She could've simply left it at "It's okay" and assumed I would never make that mistake again.
That isn't being rude, it's being direct, some managers can be short spoken and don't really mean it as rude. If you think that's rude you haven't worked in the food industry long enough to know how rude some can be. Now if they screamed it at you I can see that, that would be different.
"To obtain financial freedom, one must be either a business owner, an investor, or both, generating passive income, particularly on a monthly basis." - Robert Kiyosaki. I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, got a new business my wife is managing, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing is a grand choice I made.
I understand the fact that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is a hard thing to do for me now because I have no idea of how and where to invest in.I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.?
uunderstanding the intricacies of investing is crucial. That's why it's important to have a reliable support system, such as a financial consultant, who can guide you, especially when it comes to selecting assets. Personally, I work with Regina Louise Collaro, an investment advisor who collaborates with a licensed wealth management firm. I must say that my financial journey has been exceptional under her guidance. Regina is widely recognized for her excellent services, so you may already be familiar with her. Thanks to her expertise, I have achieved financial stability and now earn a consistent monthly income through her passive income strategy.
That’s great lawrence , your investment advisor must be really good,I have seen testimonies of people using the help of investment advisors in making them more financial stable. Do you mind sharing more info on this person?..
She is easy to find , make a quick research of her on the internet with her name Regina Louise Collaro and leave her a message. I believe sh works with anyone independent of their location...
I searched for the name and found her website, where I saw her qualifications and testimonials that looked impressive, with many positive reviews. I reached out to her to discuss my financial goals. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction
I guess I need a fu3king therapist then. Thank you, Restaurant Boss! I did get something out of this, but I'm quite scared. It's difficult to incite change in a lax system. I'm still in the weeds with everyone too, so at least they see my pain! lol...kinda...

I like this. Just swapping the words "manager" and "developer". Hello my name is Bria and i am your manager 😑😡 Hello my name is Bria and i am your developer 🤔😊
What is your best tip for a new manager?
Stand back for 2 weeks and let everyone reveal themselves to you. Talk is cheap. Deeds tell the story. Be quiet and observe.
Tough on standards, not on people. Big difference!
be assertive and respectful.
delegate, do not drown
Use bullet points before making a video. Cuts 25-50 percent of the deadspace from your video.

Is there a book that teaches you how to be the general manager of a restaurant? As in what you do on a daily basis and with clear examples.

Yes, yes, yes!!! I am going to take it one step further... Manage systems, *develop* people
@@Therestaurantboss100% you gotta grow your staff! Everyone, including management, should be learning and developing themselves.
