It tastes so good, such a unique but powerful flavor, it really enhances anything I add it to. Glad your family enjoys it as well! ❤ 😊

Hi Dana not sure if i;m spelling your name right, any way the nettle i pick here has a narrower leaf I think it's called the common nettle there is a lot of it here I feel blessed and the sting doesn't bother me so I don't use gloves I used to just eat it raw but my daughter told me i'm not supposed to do that 😊 loved the video on to the next see you soon

Pretty close :) Danae’s the name. Common Nettle and Stinging Nettle are usually one and the same. I too have eaten it raw but I don’t anymore haha because I did get a prickly feeling at the back of my throat. If you can powder it or grind it fresh, it makes an AMAZING pesto, better than basil pesto in my opinion. Glad you found the channel. That Hippie Chick helped me find you. God bless.

@@theacadiangarden I had to look up what pesto is lol i'm sure i've eaten it, i steam the nettle add a little butter and eat it as a side dish or in soups or stews grinding it fresh i'll try that, like a dip, is that what pesto is? I watched your lemon balm vid, interesting not sure if i'll plant any but i do like lemon flavoured plants, anyway better let you go or i'll be here all day God bless

I am just getting to know this plant . My question is , when do the stringers not sting ? After you boil or cook it ?

That sounds like a great way to eat it! We prepare ours with almonds and cranberries occasionally. :)
