Hi Allen - just subscribed to your wonderful channel- love the old shows as well as the latest- just found recently on Pinterest someone mentioned dipping your cut hydrangea in ALUM to extend the display time- omg does that ever work - kept a bloom on my porch for 3 weeks! And you may have already had a session on this but just now listening here in Texas- so I’m your neighbor and happy to be here - keep them coming-
YES! That's a great tip. Thanks for sharing to everyone. I think I may have covered it in an episode. I recently had my friend J Schwanke stop by and give us a few hydrangea tips. Allum was one! ua-cam.com/video/14Bb0rZ8dWU/v-deo.html
Your gardens are just amazingly beautiful, I have been watching your you tube videos and just realized that your Moss mountain farm is a re-creation of a older home. I love all of your garden and home advice. Keep them coming.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tips! I love surrounding myself with flowers 🌸😊
Beautiful spider on that sunflower head. Never seen a green spider before.
Hi Allen. Love this video. When you're planting Paperwhite for winter blooming do you need to chill them in the fridge? I want to have some tulips and paperwhites blooming for Christmas season. Thank you. PS. I can't stop watching your videos. Beautiful tulip ideas and gardening inspiration... I just dug up and divided my hosta. Hard work but really excited for next spring.
Yes, they would need to be chilled first for around 12 to16 weeks! Thank you for watching and good luck with your beautiful winter blooms :)
