Looking good Jimmy!! Also being from NC, I am familiar with many of the locations you discussed and are modeling. Looking forward to seeing your layout progress!!
I think Jimmy really kicked it off well… he’s introducing a new process to his viewers ( modular) AND he’s modeling real places. As for me, I think that’s very exciting!
I think in the past he's mentioned using Skarm. I haven't used it. I've only used AnyRail, which is Windows only I think? I think you can actually design modules using templates on it too, which is pretty cool.
Well it makes sense now to build model railroads in this type of module design makes them easier to move if you ever have to move up in home space for a growing family 👍👍
Your modules are looking great can't wait for phase 2 to start. You are inspiring me to work on my club modules one single and one double I have. Keep up the good work. GOD BLESS 🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕🚂💕
AHHHHH! I LOVE ELKIN!!! it's so cool that you're modeling an area I've spent most of my life in. I don't live there anymore, but my family is still in Thurmond!!! I absolutely love that area. I can't wait to see how you model it.
Looks good so far. For your home t-track setup I would be tempted to do some non-standard single track modules. For a home layout like yours you don’t have to be 100% to the t-track standard. My club at times has used some form of single track t-track modules.
Excellent. Awesome work. And thank you thank you thank you for the link to "how" you did your thunderstorm. I'm trying to finish a diorama that requires a thunderstorm! Have had my first cup of Wide Awake Coffee...so I'm "kinda" wide awake. Peace.
Beautiful work Jimmy!!! I love the way you work so quickly!😂(isn’t time lapse great)? As I said before I’m working on my 6’x11’x4’ U shape layout… So I’m going to go back in time and revisit your channel as a refresher course. I think you are really diving deep into this hobby by modeling actual towns and scenes from your surroundings. Once again, keep up the good work. I think you and your channel are GREAT! CMF
Hello sir, just wanted to thank you for providing some very much needed inspiration for my own N scale Southern Railway themed project.. Hope you have a great day! 🙂
Great video, and I love the way you reveal everything and talk through it. I still need to get a video out together now that we have our new house and I have my layout. Just ran a day of our club layout this last Saturday too, so maybe I could include my two Ttrak modules.
Can you? Yes, if properly isolated. Should you? No. It makes for more complicated wiring, and if your DC engine accidentally ends up on the DCC side, you'll have a runaway train. You can wire DC and DCC systems to the layout to switch between them with a double-pole, double-throw, center off switch. However, DC engines left on the track are still a hazard. Safest option is two completely isolated loops (no crossovers between them).
i'm not the biggest fan of T-Trak, because i prefer large mountain scapes with trains running through them and that's difficult with t-trak, but this is still awesome. Great work :)
Phase one is off to a great start of a dream layout. I like how you're building off a prototype. - Jason
Thankyou for pointing out how you're building your layout - modules on a fold-out table. Seems simple, yet I never would have thought of it
Oh my goodness! That looks fantastic!!!!
Looking forward to following this series! Great start that will be incorporated into the 'master plan'.
I look forward to seeing phase 2! Looks great so far!
Fantastic project Jimmy! Love seeing our area represented in your layout :)
Good morning Jimmy, always happy to see your model railroad adventures.

Two questions
1. Did you ever pick a winner from that giveaway you were going?
2. 5:21 what did you use to make this track plan?
I think in the past he's mentioned using Skarm.

So simple and yet so effective.
I love that Thunder Storm

So cool - congratulations 🎉🎈!
Wow that thunderstorm is fantastic!! Lived in Franklin NC for a bit and know how those mountain storms come up!

I always look forward to seeing your train layouts and what you are doing. Nice job
Nice to see a layout of my hometown (grew up in Winston, lived in Yadkinville, and currently in Moravian Falls). Awesome job!
You Should Have It Ending At North Wilkesboro Cause That’s Where That Line Passes Through
Since I am sort of freelancing this. My plan is to scenic my staging yard and call it “Wilkesboro Yard”
Great stuff! You can really see the progress you've made over the years, it's such an improvement over your old layout. Can't wait to see more!

Brilliant love it, so cool!

black landscape material is cheap and makes a good skirt for layouts too

looks fun good stuff
I grew up in textile and furniture region of NC and S line and Clinchfield RR so allot trains especially Main traffic from Spencer Yard and W lines
SWEET!
Broadway Ltd lightning is a cool touch, Jimmy🚂🇨🇦🇺🇲
The HO train set link is taken down, just FYI
Looking good! Looking real good. :)
Looks great! I am just up the road in McDowell County.
Great new layout. Can you run DCC on one track and DC on the other? Thanks, AJ

Just realized we both go by AJ. 😊
Jimmy, just confirming, Phase 1 is 2 end caps, 2 doubles, a triple, and a single (your double crossover module), correct? Looking real good so far!
That is correct.
Thats a great start Jimmy!! Cant wait to see the next phase!

Oh you just wait. I have a plan for that.
Hello
Great video. Would you be willing to post the Scarm file?
