Nice review! Subscribed.
Thanks!
I received it yesterday with DLC burrs (it won't be released in the EU until December, but I bought directly from the manufacturer) and so far I'm loving it. By the way, it came with the white button instead of red. I think it's kind of a lottery because a friend of mine bought it from the exact same place and same options and it came with a red button. I prefer white but I would've been happy with either to be honest. I'm fact I thought it would be red, so it was a pleasant surprise when I opened the box. I'm not pulled many espresso shots yet, just 4 or 5, but I really enjoyed them and I enjoyed even more working with this grinder. The workflow is amazing.
It really is a great grinder
I got mine (DF64 Gen 2 Vers 1) a few weeks ago and I love it! Simply amazing value! My Mazzer Super Jolly is now for sale! Mine came with the red button... first batch! I have both the white and the black one and can assure everyone, there is next to no mess. I've been in the game for over 25 years and I've tried all kinds of grinders from $150 to $2,000 and this is THE ONE.
I’m really curious to see this one topped in quality and price. I’m sure it will happen but I don’t know how
the best this week
Thanks!
Great review! Which SSP burrs would you recommend for an espresso-only drinker? I'm looking to order from the manufacturer.
Multipurpose
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner Thank you. Would they make enough of a difference if I drink medium and the occasional medium-dark roasts?
@CabeensCoffeeCorner curious since you've owned Eureka Atom 75 as well as DF83 and new model DF64 if you would share your thoughts regarding in the cup results- flavor. In a past video you noted you miss the Atom 75 flavor when you're testing/using other grinders. How do the 83mm burrs in DF83 taste in comparison to the Atom 75 overall? Eureka is improving their Eureka Oro SD (updated the dial and say they reduced retention) as well as they're producing four in-house burrs to swap(supposed to be for sale Apr. 2024), and they are also supposed to be releasing a Single Dose version of the Eureka 75. Seems the Eureka 75 produces good clarity but with good balance and smoothness so just enjoyable vs having to buy SSP burrs for similar but w/trade-off in balance somewhere, or stock DF burrs which are good but below the stock in Atom 75 in terms overall taste and balance. Thank you, Regards
I think the 83 might be the best taste. Atom is the easiest to use and 64 gen 2 is the best value
Would you say the DF83 Gen2 not worth the extra? If this is my grinder upgrade from Welfa Svart?
Yeah I was going to ask the same question. If budget wasn't an issue, would you go for the Df83V2 of the Df64 gen2?
I’ve never owned a welfa so I’m not sure
I’ll be working on a comparison of the df64 gen 2 and the df83 gen 1 but pretending it has the plasma generator soon
I am looking to buy this one. Do you think the $20 Dollar add on for the DLC burrs are worth it? Do they make coffee better for espresso in any way?
I would do it!
