@coreilly796 Most coaches today are babysitters and don't want to upset their players by way of criticism or "too many rules." Saban was all business and didn't spare anyone. He preached accountability, effort, and respect. Amougst other things that are lost in our society today.

Plenty of coaches preach about accountability and are tough with their players ala Kirby Smart. Saban is better than anyone in college football because he’s a brilliant tactical mind, cultivates great coaching staffs and knows what a good player looks like in his recruitment process.

When you graduate, you are finally called Marine. And when the same dudes that messed you up for not correctly using “recruit” call you a Marine to your face it’s an incredible feeling of accomplishment and acknowledgement so I can relate to what they are saying
