HVAC: Airflow- immediate things to check

  • When symptoms are leading you in the direction of low airflow here are the immediate things to check. I had one blooper in this video and that is the flue gas goes through the primary heat exchanger first then the secondary then out the flue.

    This question is irrelevant. If I place a return air in a room where someone vapes will it make the condition worse or better around the house?

      When the system is running it will circulate through the system and house.

      I'm also in Alabama and face the same humidity problem. You might do what I've done and get a standalone dehumidifier. It runs independent of your heat pump, so it can run all the time and spare that evaporator coil. It will add a little heat to the room it is in, but getting rid of that humidity is worth it. Mine drains into a gallon tank that needs changing several times a day. If that's more hassle than you like, you might get one that can have a drain hose attached.
