- Another epic Rudolf's solo!
It's pretty hard to figure out what is played at bar #12 as it's drowned in the mix. So I just played a lick on the 1st position of G minor pentatonic (with a few lower notes on the 5th position).

Sounds amazing, great job...I always thought that Matthias Jabs played this I never knew Rudolf played lead I always thought he was a rhythm player.
Thanks. Rudy is a great rhythm guitar player and songwriter, but he also played several solos, the tastiest ones to me. This one, Wind of change, Lady Starlight, Big city nights, Coast to Coast, Always Somewhere, etc.
@@StephLeGratteux definitely coast to coast, I remember them playing that live on Animal Magnetism in 80 and again in 82 on blackout tour, it was epic.

By the way the UJR era was musically waaaay better, then the following periods.
It doesn't depends on the quantity of the albums they have sold worldwide (live 😊).
The guitar work during UJR era was so much more interesting ! Many songs are really great too, but the whole thing would be much better if Uli didn't sing 😁. Anyway I still love this era and yes, it's musically better, but I just pass most of the songs with Uli on vocales😛. And guess what, I recorded a first solo from this period a couple of days ago, and I'm practising a second one. I also listened to In trance, Virgin killer and Taken by force this week (that's why I had to say smth about Uli's singing, my ears are still bleeding😂). Oh and even if I haven't listened to Fly to the rainbow lately, that one is awesome !

Thanks. Haha I can't actually 😁 I quickly learn each solo and forget them as quickly. And for the easiest solo, I don't even learn them as I record while watching at the tablatures 😅
