Modern houses = houses in prison Gray colour.
Yeah, I can see how it might feel a bit trapped for those who don’t drive or have a second car for family members, especially in those new estates with limited public transport.
Great video..
I bought a house and moved to Werribee from Oakleigh.
It took me about 2 years before it felt like home but I have grown to love it here, it has a lot of great aspects, a few not so great ones but they are minor.
Hi, thanks for your comment!😃 I’m curious, what do you think are the downsides of living in Werribee compared to Oakleigh? I’ve never lived in Oakleigh, so I’m wondering how the vibe might be different.
@@MelbWestExplorer Werribee is just a lower socioeconomic class of people.
It's not as well serviced by many types of shops, it's often easier to just pay for delivery than to take the time to drive to somewhere like Clayton to buy something.
It can often feel like living in a completely different city to your friends who live on the east side.
When I go back to Oakleigh it does feel so busy compared to Werribee, not in a good way.
I don't regret moving to Werribee at the end of the day. It has a lot of good things about it too.
@@pancake7289 Thanks for sharing this. I bought a 1br unit in Carnegie last year but have opted to remain in Sunshine North (been here 5 years).
Same to you- living in the lower socioeconomic area may actually be better overall. Seems much quieter and affordable.
Comparative affordability in the South East from CBD seems to be Dandenong distance or further.
Ample open walking tracks, green spaces near Sunshine. Spacious too (perhaps due to lower population density)?
Carnegie does also, but the high pedestrian traffic along the two lane Merri Trail makes me wonder how busy and cramped other public spaces feel.
Is road traffic considerably worse in and around Oakleigh compared to what you've experienced in the Western suburbs?
heaths road traffic congestion you will always be famous
Thanks for this cheerful, quality video exploring Werribee. I'm not sure if you touched on the other positive of Werribee being that it is roughly half way between Melbourne and Geelong. As well as Melton. (Eventually in time, I'm sure road travel there will improved). I.e a widening or upgrade of Ballan rd.
werribee station was slated for a redevelopment that was supposed to start a year ago, i just want them to go back to an overpass
that little brown building in the main street is the first place station in Werribee on the corner and it's only dirty of the trees in the car park and the ramp a year about 100 metres away from the Werribee River what floods all the shops from the train station to hundred Jacks
we have got two indoor pools in Werribee one at the plaza and one up in windervale get outdoor pools in the main street of Werribee that also gets flooded if you go where the Werribee River is behind outdoor pools you will see a outdoor pools inside the river
a great incite to the area, thanks
Lovely presentation style. Thanks.
Thank you!😄
Can you recommend some suburbs for new immigrants who don't want to drive? Maybe a top 5 suburbs for newcomers type video?
Hi, thanks for your comment! I think a video about suburbs for newcomers is a great idea. I’ll definitely try to make one like that.
I would recommend newcomers stay in areas with multiple public transport options like trams, buses, V/Line, and Metro. These are often in inner suburbs with walkable, traditional shopping streets offering a variety of shops and amenities. Renting a house might be a bit pricey, but if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, check out apartments and units.
weriibee is better or hoppers crossing.
I have lived in Hoppers but not in Werribee. However, visit Werribee alot (I now live in Point Cook). I think Werribee has more variety (as shown in this video with the 5 different 'feels'), Hoppers probably has more of the 'average' type areas, and very few (if any) new areas, but most of the area can be quite far from the train station as the whole suburb is north of the railway line. If I had to pick, I'd probably go for Werribee
Thanks for your review. Finally Werribee!🎉
Thanks for your comment! Is there any suburb you're particularly interested in?
Werribee used to remind me of school excursions, today I think of that area as having the strictest road law enforcement, especially Princes Freeway.
I feel like people have become more rushed and reckless on the roads since COVID. Maybe there are too many new immigrants who haven't fully adapted to Australia's road rules, or the housing crisis and inflation might be affecting people's mental state, too. So it might be a good idea to have strict law enforcement on the roads.
theres road law enforcement around? ive never seen them and im driving a hoon car.
FIRST!!
Werribee ain't too bad, but too far from the CBD
Dandenong and Frankston are even further away from the CBD than Werribee.
@@yiannisdanatzis2889 AND THEY'RE WORSE 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks so much for being the first to comment! I really appreciate your support. Yes, Werribee is a bit far from the CBD, but the distance is fine. It’s the traffic during peak hours that’s a pain, and it feels like a lot of people drive pretty recklessly nowadays.
It used to be very affordable to live in Werribee...not any more...
Yeah, now with the housing crisis, it's tough for a lot of people.
