In that case the rebound champ
      scoring champ
      assist champ
      steals champ
and blocks champ each season should go the totals and not the per game lmaooooooooo

Nick - “The body of work is so much better…”
      MJ - 6chip, 6FMVP, 5MVP, x10scoring, x3 steals, DPOY, x10 All- NBA first, x9 defensive 1st in less than 15 seasons
      LBJ - 4chips, 4FMVP, 4MVP, x1 scoring, x1 assist, x5 defensive 1st x13 all-NBA 1st in OVER 20 seasons???
C’mon, the body of work from MJ far surpasses that of LBJ.

Nick's entire bron premise begins with knowing any objective criteria has Jordan as no. 1 so he made a career creating nonsense arguments.
No one says Kareem was the greatest scorer of all time; he wasn't. It's always been Jordan vs Wilt. We go by averages and between Jordan and wilt Jordan had the highest scoring averages on the highest efficiency ( per ).
Where nick turned into skip Bayless was when he started deciding he would use half truths and outright lies to create an argument where there was none.
The extent it's gotten at this point is pretty pathetic; he picks arguments he can't win and thinks whining and arrogance will help.

Not only was LeBron the most hyped athlete ever coming out of high school he also had to prove himself in front of the world with the social media era. Bron didn’t have the luxury of hiding mistakes. If he did it we saw it. So to achieve what he has achieved is absolutely remarkable.

The only problem I really had with James is he is all for social justice, except in China because that would hurt his pocketbook. Now for that part a lot of people would go that route and if he would have just remained quiet and kept his pockets, but he shouldn't have chimed in about Daryl Morey. Now for 20 years in the league and that is all i got (well maybe the self promotion stuff but that is the way it is today) that is an amazingly short list. He chooses his stats, and who feasts or starves. Creating offensive identity crisis when he isn't in the court. Dismissing the talent around him more often than not. Agree. Not to disrespect any of our greats, but there is nothing that compares to what it felt like when Jordan was dominating not only the NBA, but the sporting world, the headlines, and media outlets around the world. There's nothing I have seen like that before or since. That actually felt more like someone bending the universe, imo. Add the unreal list of accomplishments and it would be hard to believe without seeing it, live or on video. What could 'bend the universe' more than 6 Championships in 8 years, TWO 3peats, 6-0 in the finals, never taken to a game 7, six finals MVPs, 5 regular season MVPs, 14-time all-star in 15 seasons, 3 all-star game MVPs (could easily have been more if he had chosen to be selfish), 9 all-defensive teams while ALSO leading the league in scoring, led the league in steals 3 times, had 200 steals and 100 blocks TWICE as a 6'6 GUARD, had 10 scoring titles-- one of those at 35 yrs old, led his team to an insane nearly decade long stretch when they never lost more than 3 games in a row-- and as Chris B pointed out, all without ever having 2 all-star teammates and with only 9 top 5 picks. Unbelievable. Not to mention, all this while skyrocketing Nike's sales and popularity and NBA TV ratings, and having people try to emulate your style to the point of shaving their heads bald even. That's crazy. Don't know how the universe could bend any further than that. Nick is on point a lot of times but I personally have to disagree on this one. I'm genuinely happy that Lebron broke this record, not trying to throw shade at him in any way. Definitely one of the greatest to ever do it. But honestly have to factor in longevity when talking total stats like all-time points, assists, rebounds, etc. These are great records and stats do count in some ways. But I don't understand how Kareem has held this record all this time and has 2 more Championships than Lebron, but the vast majority of people think Jordan has been the goat all this time. How does now someone breaking the record with 2 less rings than Kareem now leapfrog over Jordan? Personally I'd take accomplishments-- like Jordan's insane list-- over having all-time stat records. Even though on a deeper level Jordan has dominated a lot of stat categories as well. He's the most dominant team-sport athlete I've ever seen. Unlike football, individual players have to play both offense AND defense in the NBA. And MJ dominated on both ends. Just my honest opinion.

    • @monabell402
      @monabell402 Рік тому

Just wanna add: I'm in no way disrespecting our NFL greats. It's an awesome and great league with super talented, all-world athletes as well. Love it wholeheartedly. Obviously, the NFL game is way too physical for players to spend a significant amount of time playing both offense and defense if they want a prolonged career. Just saying it's a factor that NBA players are largely judged on both, (not that they all excel at both), and when someone dominated at both as MJ did you have to take that into account in terms of overall greatness by sport. That in no way takes from the greatness of the amazing NFL athletes. Just wanted to make that clear.

@Casey Ray Harris. Esquire absolutely. Getting Silver is better than not getting a medal at all. Which is why I'll never get why it's a knock for LBJ in the finals. Especially with the necessary context about the teams he faced in the finals. All time teams. Especially compared to who the Bulls faced.

@@caseyrayharris.esquire489because if you had the talent to get there and then fail at the most important part is not what greates do. If anything, lebron gets a pass for most of his failures in the finals and still gets ranked pretty high all time. He had the famous melt down vs the mavs, faced an old spurs team, definitely two championships he should have won, the only ones he had excuses for was the two vs GS with Durant. Other than those, every finals he’s lost was winnable. And that’s embarrassing. He got to the finals so many times because the leastern conference was so bad. He ran around the league creating super teams and still you fail that much? I mean it’s just a bad look.

@@dominiquewilson And just like Emmitt passing chicago legend Walter Payton, Lebron basically is playing simply to own this record. Both Emmitt and James were well past their primes when they got to it and a shadow of themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if James plays until he is 40 to put distance on the record but he's still play purely because he wanted this record and nothing else.

The truth is that it was never a thing until it was evident that Lebron could never reach Jordan's status as the GOAT so it is just used for that debate and is blown out of proportion. Good for him for scoring all those points, but let's be honest it all has to do with playing for 20+ years. Game to game dominance is what greatness is. Records are just records. Jordan scored more points per season than Lebron. So this is just a record of longevity. Period.

He's 20 plus years because he's tougher and a better athlete than Jordan ever was or will be.
The all-time scoring doesn't matter because it's LeBron and Jordan. Jordan has better marketing: shoes, commercials etc. But Jordan isn't better than LeBron.
