Hexbug Battlebots Tournament 4: The Qualifiers

The Hexbug Tournament is back! 12 bots try to qualify for the main bracket.
Batteries we used to make the bots speedy. Only use one per bot though or else bad things may happen.

Hope you all enjoyed! If case you were curious here’s the rundown of the judges decisions today.
Blacksmith 6-5 Witch Doctor
Damage: 3-2 blacksmith. The main thing that gave blacksmith an edge was the fact that it broke the Witch Doctor spinner. The spinner literally split in two.
Aggression: 2-1 Blacksmith. Close but Blacksmith had a working weapon the full match which gave it the edge here since using the primary weapon consistently is pretty big for this and WD didn’t have a weapon for 2/3 of the match.
Control: 2-1 WD. Witch Doctor got in some nice pins more often than Blacksmith did.
Sawblaze 6-5 Bronco
Damage: 3-2 Sawblaze. This fight didn’t really have much in terms of damage. But Sawblaze got the slight edge because it used the pulverizer and the screws.
Aggression: 2-1 Bronco. Hard to argue against this. Bronco was flipping like crazy. Sawblaze still gets a point though because they were using their weapon a bit too.
Control: 2-1 Sawblaze. Sawblaze got in most of the pins and used its speed to scoop up Bronco.

Did anyone else notice that the Bite Force vs S1 Witch Doctor fight went almost exactly the same way as their real life season 4 Grand Final match? (In that it was a close fight where Witch Doctor managed to rip off all but one of Bite Force’s wedgelets but ended up losing after getting flipped over).
Anyways, this was an entertaining episode and I’m excited for the full tournament!

I know S3 which doctor was damaged but I think it should’ve gotten the original Witchdocter spot if it could be repaired in time just my opinion though

Predictions for the bracket (spoilers inside)
Duck vs Bronco: One of my favorite fights IRL, hopefully it goes similarly (but with Duck staying inside the arena).
Whiplash vs WD 2015: Whiplash only needs one flip, so...
Bite Force vs Sawblaze: Should be an iconic fight, but I think Sawblaze's lower GC should win this for them.
Rotator vs Blacksmith: Blacksmith's wedge is great at combating spinners, so I think they've got this.

pro tip if u use sawblaze, never ever hinge the outside forks on the second hinge, always use the higher up one, u lose a little little bit of ground game but the forks never go out of socket and you always self right in one try

1. It… died. I don’t know what else to say besides that I’m gonna be honest it’s not coming back any time soon
2. I’m still working on a few things with the files. But when I’m done with that I’ll get them posted
