Nice water marks on transit front left wheel nut so obviously nice and tight lol So comforting to know the vehicle carrying another vehicle is so well maintained Never dvsa stop check when you want 1 lol
Hi greg, absolutely loved this vlog and how long it was so more of this please, great to see the daf working hard and will look amazing once shes had a refurb im sure, have a great sunday and stay safe out there bud🤟🙂👍
Iv had years and years of experience using sla’s. When Loading never snatch with the bed deploy that far out because it WILL twist the frame and it elongates the hole where the subframe tilt pin is. Don’t snatch If the flyer is past the wheel arch. Second whin the slippys come to the bed there is usually little lip ramps where you can ride the slippy’s up them. If no little ramps the upturn another pair of slippys and ride them up. Third for unloading leave your bed at the steepest angle you can and leave the car on the slippys. Jolt the bed and let the winch out at the same time on the remote and the car comes off. Once back wheels on the ground, push the bed out and push the heal of the slippys along untill your at full extension on the bed. Remove the rear slippys and if needs b chock the wheels with the heal of the slippys and disconnect the winch and bed in. If you can get in the vehicle send the bed in while you stand on the foot brake no chocks needed
Yep had the same prob my went to recover a Sierra the broke down and the shame of getting recovered by the old man great memories. Nice to see are recovery still do great work years on stay safe pal respect to you ❤️
Thought this was a Rolf Harris pun for a moment, can you tell what it is yet! haha have a good weekend! See you tomorrow for a Sunday special at 18.00 hours! GDB
Afternoon Andy thanks for watching! I think it was lol... Leyland is an absolute machine I think its time to throw some money at her... STAY tuned next Friday 18.00 hours! GDB
Talk about keeping the work on drivers side to a minimum then straps down all four wheels against all IVR regs also using brother straps on a motorway again working on drivers side! and then reverses up hard shoulders lol
Thanks for watching! Try and keep work to a minimum but certain circumstances change this unfortunately especially when passenger doors don't open. Will use brother straps 9/10. Will always reverse up hard shoulder or refugee area for a better run up to join carriageway IVR couldn't really care less. Kind Regards GDB
Have you never had to reverse up the hard shoulder to re-join the motorway ?, i guess you just do transport work, you can have all the training in the world but every day is a different challenge and risk assessment, i very rarely strap off side on the motorway, occasionally i have not strapped down at all, especially on A roads, never lost one in 35 years !
How does this work years ago i broke down in taunton Somerset and i live in manchester the AA guy had worked all day then he brought me home he was falling asleep realy loosing it .
I am supprised the motorways dont have more wide shoulders than that. The U.S interstate system has car width shoulders the entire length. Tho idk how the UK Motor way system (M1,M2, etc..) compares so.
Hi Sterling Thanks for watching, Yeah me too they're not great at all, hardly any safe working room to be honest! BUT people in suits and ties don't stand or work on hard shoulders! SO they will never know! GDB
keep a record of that merc's reg, you never want to buy that car off that bunch of clowns, couldn't even work a ratchet strap, or tighten transit wheelnuts, never mind fix salvage... FFS get a hand throttle, + set up nice + high, to get your danger time reduced,+ keep your batteries fully charged with all your lights on. that railed body will take a 7 second roll, hand throttle on the back section of front wheelarch, bang it on as you jump out of the cab...
Afternoon Thanks for watching! YES I know need to cut down the time a slither, need get remote working for winch out and increase revs be a bonus on outside of cab, and yes air suspension button outside cab be even better again! Stay Tuned part 1 is coming soon .... GDB
Seriously ! , first observations ! How bad’s your steering rack & trackin out on this vid ?😳🙈🤣, An incorrect / fitted steering wheel maybe 🧐, This is your chance ! to submit a plausible explanation!!😜🤣🤣👍🏻
@@georgeaston1173 thats wrong, for working on motorways it needs to comply with code 3. Strip over each shoulder of refelctive material, two stripes around torso, two stripes on each arm (three quarter sleves) then trousers need two refelctive stripes around each ankle. Compare his PPE to Highways Agncey, Police, AA or RAC and you will see a verty obvious difference.

scrapage scam, such a bad idea for people who have no interest in cars. we going to have a period in time we have very few classics the horrid government idea wiped out 90% plus really cool cars , cars what prob only half life it is disgusting and send a good car to only be allowed to be crushed they should get driving ban, a car ban to not allowed ever to buy another. nearly all the cool car from my childhood you more likely to see half million £ car than one tho on the road and i know what id like to see on the road, cool classics and modern classics they far better than bland modern junco what all look the same roads become boring. makes my day when i see a old car on the road, no matter what it is. out side doctors a rover 600 pulled up it was great to see and car what out live the owner easy and honda engine so modern fuel no issue, could easy have another 20 years , ended up having a good long chat with rover guy and i made his day to showing interest in his car he said that. my next car i plan to keep decades what hopefully car shopping in a month time a well spec car no subscription rubbish its 2015, a reliable brand, £35 tax 2016£180 tax so i buy older but low miles has key to start a real spare tire and list equipment as long as your arm all i ever need, if i need a big car it be a 2nd car.
Great response to the VAT question. I once refused to get it off the Truck as customer refused to pay the VAT.
Its amazing that a truck sounds like a Dennis Dart bus 😊🙏🙏🙏. Lovely engine!
Thank you very much!

Why dont you straighten that steering wheel up and then your indicators will cancel properly .you go on about safety.

Your steering wheel looks out of kilter!
you just paid £60 for a nissan pajero mad thats brilliant .
You should have a full fluorescent jacket on, recovering on a motorway, very unprofessional and unsafe. Follow the recovery industry guidelines .
