This is why there are no more classics. Kill the new cars not these amazing older ones

In all fairness, they all look pretty rotten, just look at how they fold when crashed

@@m44kts I suppose but when u think about it out of the what 20-30 cars that are out there at least 2-5 should be able to be fixed. Just saying where I'm from we fix all the classics we can even dying rotters. (Once they're gone that's it no more)

If they were worth anything, they wouldn't be raced. You can tell by how easy they were folding that they were rotten. Most racers are in the scrap trade, all the parts worth keeping get sold on or used on their own cars.

I was however surprised to see a German 20M there. Not only because it is surprising to find it on the Island at all but also because Taunus 20M and 23M were the counterparts to your Zephyr, i.e. too large for this class. The smaller 12M and 15M were the same size as Cortinas.
"Taunus" is not a good indicator because it was used for everything before the Escort came up. Taunus 12M and 15M were compact to midsize - bodywork midsize but the 12M was too slow and with basic trim they were priced more on Beetle and Opel Kadett level. Taunus 20M and 23M were executive cars like the Opel Rekord. And even the full name for the van was "Ford Taunus Transit"
