This really serves as a reminder of how hype G era units really were - the upscaling of the animation quality for Chronojet/Nextage gave me the same goosebumps as the G finale, absolutely amazing. Really wish we could at least have another episode of Chrono VS Shion, but I'm already happier than I expected just from this alone.

This reminded of how much I loved Gear Chronicle when it was first introduced. Chronojet was my avatar before it gave it up bc of how overly used and meta it was. It became less fun. But this gave me so much nostalgia!

This is HANDS DOWN the best episode since the reboot. It is so great in many aspects. I can totally see why Shinemon arc is favored by many, and I sincerely hope Gaiden-IF continues its greatness. Not a big fan of rebooted version of Ibuki though.

G Next theme Fits more with the situation of the planets eventually leading to the awakening of the god of destruction

sure with overpowered plot armor ..again? No thanks he needs to lose at times to get better character growth. .. honestly I'm happy that he won this battle but he really should have lost on this first go instead.

Not that it really matters. Losses are not important to Chronos character as that’s not what his character is about, unlike say Aichis where losing was very impactful for his narrative.
It's sad that people will still say the reboot sucks. Complain about the quality of the cardfights and the animation because those are legitimate criticisms BUT the reboot succeeds where it matters the most, in the strength of its themes and the portrayal of its characters and their interactions. These characters feel human, they have a wide array of emotions, they have struggles and challenges they try to overcome. It's not about the cardfights but the human stories behind them. Shinemon continues the tradition of a young man overcoming loss and growing from a child to an adult. His ultimate goal is not to be the greatest shop keeper or to be a great pro fighter. Just a guy who hopes to pass on a little wisdom to the younger generation and foster their imagination. Excellent ending to the Shinemon arc and I have no doubt the next IF arc will be special in its own way and contribute to widening the world of the V series.

Chrono flopping straight back to bed was hilarious. As well as Dran grabbing him and tossing him back to the ground. And Shion didn't recognize Chrono even with that hair, lol.

This episode was the perfect closure for the Shinemon arc. I gotta be honest, I didn't think I'd enjoy watching Shinemon as much as I actually did this entire season. I was so used to Chrono and Aichi I thought there'd be no room for one more MC but Itou proved me wrong. The entire saga was perfect from start to finish. The characters were fleshed out and lovable, including returning casts and Shin's development was just fulfilling to watch. I'm so glad he's more involved in the plot now as well.
V series definitely surpasses the OG in my opinion. I look forward to the last episode!

I do love the V series but overall, I still have to give it to the OG timeline
While the fleshing out of the characters do justice for Shinemon to make them well liked, the shortened Cardfights are still another downside where we missed out on a good amount of action.
Plus, Aichi and the others in the manga timeline here in the V Series Reboot are honestly not as developed as they are in the OG series. Aichi won too much, he didn’t struggle as much, and felt too much like a Gary Stu compared to his Og counterpart
Both have their great ups and also downs, and I’ll definitely love the v series reboot but I just personally prefer the OG timeline
G Reboot will probably take place after Vanguard IF . IF series will probably end with Ibuki finding the Chronojet deck and placing it in Chrono's shoe locker. Then transitioning to G Reboot.
What about the rest of the characters
Rest of the characters, as in Aichi and co and/or Shinemon and co? They'll probably be in the - proper - G reboot. Or even IF, why not.
Not sure if there would be a G reboot, that would mean the characters are using 1+ year old cards. I’d like to be wrong though

HAHAHAA, SAME! The entire fight i was lowkey waiting for him to scream "LIBERATING THE GENERATION ZONE!" and "GENERATION STRIDE!!!", So when he calmly said "get an imaginary gift, Force I" i was snapped back to reality and remembered this is not the G era

🤩This really was a great episode! I feel like Vanguard is finally starting to get back to its roots. The card explanation the showing of the power, how much is gained and such. This is really looking up sad that next week will be the last episode, but I can firmly say I'm really looking forward to what's in store. I just hope that we'll get new Oracle Think Tank Battle Sister cards in the future.😆

See I always preached having a good anime over a gloried after for the game and this arc has really seen it through while still being an ad in a sense. If the anime keeps going like this in the future it’s just gonna get better and better garnering even more attention. Thanks OLM and Bushi for making this a great watch. Finally a season that has beat Season 1.

I turned right back to loving this damn series with only the old Chrono theme during Nextage's turn. Props to the studio for not forgetting such cool theme exists!
I hope they continue this story. G Era was my favorite and I want more of this tone of story. It maybe a retelling of the same story but it's such a good story that I would watch again.

I never hate chrono and always respect him as main character of cardfight vanguard g, so i was disappointed with how they treat chrono with his last fight against gyze. So im happy chrono got good fight this episode.

Gonna miss Shinemon arc, Shin is honestly my favorite protagonist so far, the story being more daily stuff thats the charm of the original season is really refreshing and it helps that unlike Chrono and Kazuma, Shin isn't a very direct Naoki clone

Guys, nextage is discard 2 and restand chrono jet and he gtsplus 15k pw. Don't k ow if he got other effect, but this is what they show in this episode
I think it's just discard 2 and restand. He gained 10k from the second gift and +5 from skill which put him up to 38000

Only thing I didn't get about this episode was why shinemon didn't attack with valkerion a second time first before his vanguard since it has the pressure of multiple critical where it must be guarded. With the second attack of his vanguard, he puts the pressure with a possible drive check that could have included a critical.

so shin is having this shop to show his masters teaching to children. it sounds great in the beginning but it isn‘t. shin is abandoning his dreams for someone who would want the exact opposite. he should have followed his own dreams while keeping a eye on chrono who is rive‘s biggest treasure. his growth as character, which was the main point of the series, is suffering under this one statement. shin withspoken himself so often in this episode.
the shin series, which was better then v, was tough to watch. it was a great idea to switch shin with chrono as mc

This was done better than in the original G.. wish Chrono's older voice actor was still present. STILL, this was good passing the torch for the next story.

We might not even get a G Reboot. The Alternate Timeline side story -IF- is next, and they hinted that -IF- would continue on until 2021 when a brand new VG series they were working on would debut.
