Guys, if you're looking for inspiration to tackle that backlog, just a reminder that it sucks when you're watching one of these videos and you hear a game is "at it's cheapest ever price" and you remember you bought it a year ago and haven't touched it yet.
No Mans Sky just got a huge update, looking and running the best it ever has and has a new expedition in a few days. Touhou Luna Nights is a great Metroidvania made by the same people who made the just released Blade Chimera. AC Rebel collection or Ezio collection might be a good choice, i say that because with the difficult times Ubisoft finds itself in, if they have to close and sell off IPs then those will be removed while ownership changes hands. Thats just an in case of and not a certainty. But something similar happened with Vigil the Longest Night which is a great metroidvania but was removed from the shop (still is) unless you had bought it before.
Ahh, the perfect Sunday ritual! Thanks, lads, for making it a habit to start my mornings this way: fresh coffee, my favorite sofa, and the latest SwitchUp episode! It’s seriously become a tradition at this point. Happy weekend, everyone! 🤘🏼☕
I’ve been reeeally wanting to pick up Star Ocean Second Story R. I’m never played any in the series but I’ve heard great things. It might be time for me to buy it!
I caved in and bought Star Ocean the second story R.... I was hunting on physical but it's sold out in my local stores. I played trough the demo and loved it, and it's been on my wishlist for so long.
Oh snap.. my fingers slip while searching the eShop, and now I mysteriously have the Citizen Sleeper collection in my library. Well, might as well see this sleeper hit of a game.
It'll be fascinating to see what Switch2 can do with No Mans Sky... Sean Murray strikes me as a dev who wants to tinker with his games till they're perfect
I'd never heard of In Between or Between Horizons before. Both interest me. I'd definitly say i'm probably going to choose 'Between' these 2 games to add to my mountainous backlog. Thanks for pointing them out 😊
Question: is Little Dragons Café halfway decent? Because at this point they‘re basically giving it away for free and I‘ve had my eyes on it for a while now 😂
@@Shalyn-ln9tu True it’s usually only if they are changing their cartridges or disk storage for the next system... Still would have been nice for a digital backward compatibility from Wii U to Switch. RIP Windwaker one day we will meet again 🥹
Indeed this is a really impressive sale, i guess since they are releasing the Switch 2 soon they want all of us to have a great backlog for the release day of it, thank you for contributing to this cause!!
1000X Resist looks incredible. I immediately thought of Astral Chain as far as the visual quality, and as a Xenoblade fan, I love some good narrative storytelling. Might have to look into that one!
I am shooting for a week when I DON'T expand the backlog! Thank God the Switch 2 is going to be mostly backwards compatible. Also attempted to get last campfire (but failed to recall i purchased it the last time it was included in this video series).
Game should be called -1000xResist, as it managed a critical hit past my defenses into my backlog. Can't even say I mind, as its sci-fi mystery vibes are right up my alley. I think this is going to be a great one.
Deadly Days is on sale in a bundle ($4.19 CDN) with another rouge called Orbital Bullet so I got it to try since the bundle was so cheap. Between Horizons is also in a fairly cheap bundle ($6.28 CDN) with.Lacuna but I already had Lacuna.
I bought 12 games in Dec-Jan, most recommended from this channel. I was really intending on taking a break, but I don't think I can pass up No Man's Sky, especially with the new update.
I kinda reached problems I didn't know existed.... because I own most or all of the games that go and gone on sale already 😂 My backlog is huge and I'm too scared to look at it 😂
Between Horizons shows as no sale for the UK but it is currently on sale for £3.59 or bundled with Lacuna for £4.31, definitely going to grab those myself, they look great!
I got FF12 on the sale. I found the gambit system has a lot in common with the system used in Unicorn Overlord, which is nice. Its also heavily inspired by Star Wars. The aestethics, with the locations and characters, and storm trooper looking imperials. Same goes for the soundtrack and the whole story really. It has the Han Solo sky pirate guy, an evil lizard bounty hunter, and even a Lando dude on a sky island city who is neutral in the conflict but secretly is working with the rebels. Early on in the game you get to save a princess on an impreial cruiser. Although it feels a bit like a ripoff, its also a very unique blend of jrpg and Star Wars. The whole package reminds me of something like Knights of the Old Republic.
Tales of Symphonia was so freaking hard when I was playing it during the GameCube era never learned how to use the summon special the ninja chick does. well now I guess I should try it again it's on sale 😅
After giving my wallet some financial relief over last few days this video now comes out and I’ve now added afew more games to my backlog…thanks guys 😂
I got Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth in these sales, Its exceeding my expectation so so much. A chill beautiful Metroidvania, a nice contained map and number of hours to play, so It's all good and doesnt overstay It's welcome. I suggest It to anyone interested to play a great cheap metroidvania
I think I will get Between Horizons and Deadly Days. I never heard of Deadly Days til today or I forgot but it looks like the kind of silliness I would love and a rogue to boot!
At this point I have watched more videos on games I should buy (and buying them) than actually playing them. But $8 for bioshock collection and $5 for 3 or 4 games on my wishlist how can I resist?!
I really hope square enix decides to give us more modest double A type games like Star ocean second story. I wouldn’t mind a final fantasy tactics in that HD2D style. Or maybe a triangle strategy sequel. 🤞🏻😛
I am SO going to buy 1000xRESIST some day, it looks incredible. For now I have plenty in my backlog (including Nier Automata), so I will be a good boy and wait for a deeper sale and to beat more games!
Oh it’s a BIGGUN Best HIDDEN GEM in a while this week! What’re ya buying? Mark
Guys, if you're looking for inspiration to tackle that backlog, just a reminder that it sucks when you're watching one of these videos and you hear a game is "at it's cheapest ever price" and you remember you bought it a year ago and haven't touched it yet.
😂 yep that's does help .I have too many like that
Excited to see what visual upgrades No Man’s Sky will inevitably receive for Switch 2.
Fly on a Falcon shooting at enemies. Yep, I'm sold. You got me again!
❤ hahahha that’s a good one to support Tomas is a great guy. Mark
The backlog was in trouble the moment Mark said “Oh man.”
Hahaha ❤
Arise is such a beautiful games. I got chills and goose bumps every time the level ended with the big music swell.

Got the Falconeer. It's only goes on sale like once a year so definitely worth scooping up
You couldn't have timed this better Mark, i fancy picking something up, screw the backlog, i'm not gonna let it stop me
lmao no more buying games, i have to be strong. Just here to support the video!
One of us ! One of us !
Give in to the dark side. We have cookies and back logs.
@@AmericanHistoryXX1 sooo many back logs.oh cookies ! 🍪
Thank you switch up for all that you do! Seeee yaaaaaa!!!!
Thanks you mate. ❤
Tales of symphonia, added to the wishlist! Thanks for the update! I am glad they cleaned the games’s performance up! Cheers guys! See ya!
Never heard of deadly days but soon as you showed Gameplay I bought it on my phone, I'm not even home. Didn't want to forget 🤷🤣
Oh Lord! Between Horizons, 1000x Resist and Inbetween. A cheeky hat trick for the backlog
Same for me hee hee
Boom!!❤
love that you put up the file sizes! thank you!
Death, taxes, SwitchUp ramping up my backlog
Hehehe 😂 Love it. Anything tickle your fancy today? Mark
@SwitchUpYt flipping death and Gamedec. Definitely getting these two

The Falconeer, Star Ocean, Nier and now 1000X??
You guys can't keep getting away with this!😂
😅😂❤

@@kailsdkitten 😂 Because he’s too busy with his backlog 😂. Mark
Ahhhhh....Backlog did not get unsathed. Thanks as always for good suggestions
Just finished Dragon Quest 11.. got a backlog the size of the Himalayas.. Switch up sales vid? Yes please! One more game can’t hurt 😂
Good lord, Nintendo ordered a huuuge "Barsean" pizza for the eshop 😂
Nooo, I didn't get away unscathed this time! 1000x and Star Ocean need to be on my switch 😂
Well... I guess it's time for another christmas gift for my backlog
Ooh, going to be picking up a few of these! 😎
Falconer looks interesting! I'll check that one out at that price!
Omg. Did you really just spoil 1000x resist? Hahaha

Never heard of 1000x resist. It looks amazing!
I bought Laika Aged through Blood from last week’s sales vid. I love it and absolutely hate it at the same time!
Way too many amazing looking games in all your videos, i always discover new gems thanks to you!
Wife: Is it the ‘see ya’ man?
Me: No. It’s the backlog man.
already got a physical version of nier, love seeing it on my display.
and damn, almost on the sales here on this videos are on my wishlist.
May be poor in pocket change. But rich in game backlog! 😂😂
Nintendo looked at our massive backlogs and decided we absolutely must make the next system backward compatible!
Ive never seen a nintendo system NOT backwards compatible; since the DS days. It is a no brainer to keep switch 2 the same way

Never heard of Falconeer but somehow I think it’ll end up joining my backlog
I’ve heard of 1000x resist but never taken the plunge….now it’s on a sale I don’t think I can resist any longer!
Ah also about Falconeer, I really prefer Feather, its similar as we are controlling a bird but its more relaxing to me
Indeed this is a really impressive sale, i guess since they are releasing the Switch 2 soon they want all of us to have a great backlog for the release day of it, thank you for contributing to this cause!!
Please have mercy on me. My hobby is more buying games on sale rather than actually playing the games
Yeah of course im going to add to my backlog.
1000xResist is supposed to be one of the best stories ever told in a game. I’ve heard nothing but universal praise about it!
I was so sad when I haven't seen the video last night at my regular shower time. At least I can use my coffee break now to watch and regret 😅
1000X Resist looks incredible. I immediately thought of Astral Chain as far as the visual quality, and as a Xenoblade fan, I love some good narrative storytelling. Might have to look into that one!
Wow this weeks hidden gem looks amazing
I can't wait to see your game released to add it to my backlog!

Backlog is truly getting scarier by the week xD
After playing on pc i think nomansky would be perfect for chill switch sessions
Just enjoyed watching the video. Makes my sunday anxiety go away.

Time to fatten up that backlog with some tasty treats!
Deadly Days, Flipping Death, Little Dragons Cafe, Gamedec, In Between look fun. Need to figure out which Ill buy.
I bought 12 games in Dec-Jan, most recommended from this channel. I was really intending on taking a break, but I don't think I can pass up No Man's Sky, especially with the new update.
I'm pretty sure Flipping Death has HD Rumble, too. Or at least I could feel several different vibrations in the joycons.
I kinda reached problems I didn't know existed.... because I own most or all of the games that go and gone on sale already 😂

Your No Man's Sky graphic says 80%, got my hopes up before I realised it was an error.
Deadly Days is also on sale in Europe. Might have joined slightly later. But at least here in Denmark it's 90% off.
Falconeer is such a gem.
Little dragon’s cafe never goes that cheap in the US. Hope it does eventually.
Will Forte is the true falconeer!
Deadly days is an underrated gem. I might pick up stalker collection or that one piece game
No man's sky! I've misplaced my ps4 copy and almost picked it up digitally today but the switch version is so tempting now!
@@kriddikulous Yeah it’s actually decent on Switch now. Mark
@SwitchUpYt definitely super tempted, think I might just have to grab it!
Time to pick up No Man’s Sky at that price, oh and Flamekeeper for the Saveloy 😊
It's not realy a sale if its a ten year old game they aren't worth $2

The story of 1000X game sounds like that of Phantom Dust.
Oh I don’t know that is it an anime?? Mark
@ A hidden gem XBOX game, a card game + action in post apocalypse. It was available for free on Windows Store at one point; it might still be.
I picked up Nier for the 3rd time. Plan to take it on the go, and 100% it once again between now and the Switch 2. Cheers! 🎉
Tales of Symphonia was so freaking hard when I was playing it during the GameCube era never learned how to use the summon special the ninja chick does. well now I guess I should try it again it's on sale 😅
Is it just me or does Deadly Days have a bit of a South Park vibe with the visuals? I think it’s the way the characters bob around when moving lol 🇨🇦

Back log=Overloaded.
This week added to it. Near Automata hear I come.
Man, that Between Horizons sale may make me do a US account just for it. I loved Lacuna when I played it last year and haven't purchased this one yet.
After giving my wallet some financial relief over last few days this video now comes out and I’ve now added afew more games to my backlog…thanks guys 😂
Had to upgrade my sd card because of all the amazing sales lately. Now i got a 1TB so that should hold me over for a decent while. 😂
HUGE sales and HUGER backlogs 😭😭
❤ I’m sat here playing Metroid Prime remastered hoping to get my review of Xenoblade 3 out this week 👀 - Mark
Ohh yes please! Also solid choice. I'm still working on Nine Sols. Its special ❤

Is this footage from the switch version? If so, it’s looking clean 👌
Such a game. I've never played the story. I just wonder around in free mode and have a blast.
Last week I was like, nah no more games for a while. Yet, Yooka-Laylee for £2.45 and thought, well, why not?😅
Yeah that’s a steal! Mark
One indy game I think would be perfect for the Saveloy section is Pixel Cafe. Came across it by accident the other day and is very good.
1000X resist looks like an amazing experience, I'm definitely picking it up. Thanks for the recommendations, quality video as always 👍
Earthsea is a fantasy book series by le Guin 💙
Deadly DayZ is definitely worth 2$, soundtrack is pretty special too
Star Ocean 2 was one of my favourite RPGs of all time you can also play it 2 player FYI even the old original game 😁👍
