I've been a hardcore Slipknot fan for 20 years. This is, in my opinion, their best fucking album yet. It has the best elements of all of their previous work all rolled together and still manages to sound completely different from anything they've done before. You really need to listen to the whole thing from beginning to end to fully appreciate it.
It really is a masterfully produced and organized album from beginning to end.
It is the culmination of everything Slipknot it is done with perfect execution and brilliance and is an absolute disasterpiece.
i initially had this as one of my bottom 2 albums this and iowa were my least favorites. been around since 99 and i had all hope is gone as my favorite until the grey chapter came out. grey chapter is by far my favorite and imo their best. Id say this is probably their second or third best to me. it really really grew on me after listening to it a few times over a few months after it came out
The high pitched singing is in fact Corey. Never heard him go this high ever. And i gotta say it’s awesome to hear him try something different.

This song is seriously amazing. I can't even explain how much I love the heavy and clean vocals in the chorus as well as the heavy instruments, they outdid themselves in this song.

When I was younger, so much of my life was about repressing my own emotions, bottling it all up. And metal, especially in the mosh pit at live shows, was the outlet for all my emotions.
And Slipknot was one of the bands that was perfect for letting it all out. That "good anger" feeling you're getting there is so it. Being in a mash pit with hundreds of strangers, and yet you feel so close to them coz you're all sharing that experience and that understanding, after so much time feeling alone or alienated.

As feedback for your mention of doing albums in full, I agree that it is better to do them individually. Cause rarely will people have time to watch an hour+ video and even if they did, it gets tiring. It is definitely more engaging to do it individually. Keep up the good work I love this channel. Nope. All the vocals are corey, giving up smoking around Unsainted was the best thing he could do for his voice. I cannot wait for 2020 when they re tour Europe!
It's unreal what a difference just quitting smoking made. Not "just quitting" like it's not a fantastic thing, but the difference in his voice is just crazy. There was that time around Volume 3 where he just couldn't scream at all.
@@everyonelovesmajima That's because the Iowa tour cycle fucked his voice completely. Listen to the Stone Sour debut album, you can feel how fucked his voice was at that point. He used no real technique for Iowa, it was just pure anger and yelling.

So Corey is actually singing a long with Clown and Tortilla Man in the chorus. Corey has a range of 7 octaves, took a little bit of research to find it lol. It's one of the best songs! During the recording of this album, Corey was working on practicing high notes and blew out one of his balls in the process.

But I disagree.. roughly 5 minutes in when you say.. the clean vocals lull you into a false sense of security.
I feel like... when your that angry.. and you have no place left to go... you drift into sadness... whilst maintaining that rage.
This chorus is pain... both sadness and anger.

I think this will probably be the next single !!
