4:28 It's 8 years since they last saw each other, which isn't necessarily Thor 2. In Age of Ultron, Thor spoke highly of Jane, and it was implied that they were still together. But after Thor left at the end of Age of Ultron, he didn't return to Earth again until Ragnarok, by which time he had already broken up with Jane. Meaning Thor and Jane broke up in-between the end of Age of Ultron and the epilogue where Thor leaves Avengers Compound (in late May 2015). If we assume Thor broke up with her that day, then 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days brings us to about the beginning of January 2024, which works because it's after Endgame, which is in October 2023. The only problem is, if it's January, then Norway should be covered in snow, which it isn't in the trailers. But the math points to January 2024.
The most interesting part of this movie for me is definitely Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, plus knowing Christian Bales acting I doubt he'd take this role if it was just a one note villian
Rick is partly right about Gor's origin. It was a focused series but in the end it did take, what three different Thor's to defeat Gor? So that tracks with this film having two Thor's. In addition to Valkyrie and maybe someone like Hercules, Zeus or Ares.
In the first trailer where korg and thor were looking up at the sky to see the gardians' ship, there's a space next to thor which led to theories that Beta-ray Bill will be in the movie. His face was in thor ragnarok as a statue so that theory is a possibility.
The idea might be that’s it’s been 8 years from Thor’s perspective but from Jane’s if she blipped it would have only been 3 or 4 years from her perspective
It most definitely 8 years from Thor’s perspective because of the blip. However, if you count from November 8, 2013 Thor: The Dark World’s release date to July 8, 2022 the release date of Thor Love and Thunder it’s 8 years and 8 months. So it could also be a fun little reference to when we last saw Jane in The Dark World.
@@xackwerley9184 I think it's pretty close not only in-world (the film will take place around 2024, and Thor and Jane broke up sometime after Age of Ultron in 2015) but as a reference to the actual release dates like you said.

Christian Bale as Gorr looks dope AF! The idea of this being one of most colorful mcu films and the main villain comes in and takes it all away in a monochrome pallet is very striking. I’m interested if they address the origins of his powers in the movie. I’ll lose my sh!t if they pull off something similar like what they did with Chthon in MoM. I’m excited to see how far Taika Waititi will push the Symbiote mythos on Gorr. I know Sony has rights to those characters, they did allow a version of Venom to exist in the MCU, so maybe they will allow characters like Knull to exist in the MCU.

@Francisco Camacho That's the thing. They have set many things up. They just aren't making it immediately obvious like in the early phases. You have to really pay attention and notice the threads that connect each problem/threat in the recent movies and shows.

The black and white parts of the trailer reminds of the comic book-y way that Sin City was filmed.
Cristian is so method he actually slayed some gods in preparation and lived on the Moon for 6 months.
Jane was chucking and retracting the pieces of Mjolnir, which is a sick power addition I must say.
They broke up between Dark World and Age of Ultron as it was referenced in Age of Ultron at the party where Ultron first appeared
My last Russel Crowe Movie was "Unhinged". I liked it a lot.
Bale as gorr was announced at the disney investor day 2020 which you reacted to
2:00 she threw pieces of the hammer as it is shredded
Funny you should say it looks like a death metal movie. Christian Bale as Gorr looks like Nergal, the guitarist/vocalist with death metal band Behemoth.
i watched this movie i had no idea batman was in the movie
Yes it will be actually 8 years 7 months 6 days from the premier of Thor 2 to the premier of Thor 4. Natalie says 3 or 4 years meaning she got blipped and don't know what happened in the those 5 years
This was a great trailer!! Looking forward to see this soon in theaters this summer‼It's going to be great to see the Asgardians of the Galaxy again along with other characters!! They did a great job with the opening of the trailer with Korg narrating!! It's going to another great MCU movies!!
That scene where Jane threw something and hit a bunch of enemies, I think she did it with the pieces of Mjolnir
thats nice , make sense too , its been cracked but can still come back together
Eric where did you get that Marowak shirt?! It's Fire!!
Also noticed Thor had a tattoo of Loki's horns on his back
I wasn’t really hyped for this movie untill I saw the footage of Christian Bale as Gorr… that secured a for sure viewing from me
If you look closely thor had lokis helmet tattooed on his back saying rip loki
I can’t wait Jane looks fantastic, Gorr looks menacing, still has the Ragnarok comedy vibes this is gonna be good! ⚡️❤️💙💛🤍
I’m excited for this !
chris: *exists*
eric, rick, calvin: LOOKS AT THOSE BICEPS.
I really like the trick with Jane throwing out the shards of Mjolnir
EXCITED
Wonder when you guys will start uploading in 2k/4k. This would probably boost subscribers.
I like how even the male guards and old, bearded harpist fainted when they saw Thor's godly genitals. 🤣
"We've got obi wan kenobi at the end of the week!"
we have WHAT
it seems i have lost a whole month, but thanks for the reminder!
Idc what others say Christian Bale look sick af..he's one of the best actors of all time and he is gonna fucking nail it. You don't get a thespian like Bale and CGI his face off...maybe his character will transform or some shit during the film but I'll be honestly fine if he didn't if it means we get to enjoy one heck of a performance 💁
You guys should do a movie reaction to The Nice Guys Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are both so great
I'm excited because Gorr's powers actually come from All Black which is his sword and was the first ever symbiote! SYMBIOTE'S!!! Hopefully at the end the symbiote will still be around so it can maybe possibly make its way to Eddie Brock and Venom so they can become wayyyy more powerful and make their way into the MCU fold either as a hero or villain
