I like that camera under the wing. You can see the flaps and everything so clearly. Good video.
You’re by far one of the most in depth content creators on the platform. Your passion and love for sharing it is unmatched. You’re such an inspiration to young pilots
@@DanielC__ Steve-O connects !
I like ot when he says he hopes we have our seat belts on !
You Fee what im sayin ?
I agree with you man !
Also that 940 is Sweet .
I'm getting back into Aviation after a few years out of the cockpit, and loved the entire experience. I've watched the video a couple of times to get up to speed on the communications. It's a beautiful aircraft, awesome crew and a wonderful experience. Thanks gentlemen!
What a pleasure to watch two articulate, professional pilots flying the mighty TBM940 down to Sun & Fun. Does UA-cam get any better than this?
Wow, what an absolutely gorgeous aircraft that 940 is! Thank you so much gents for letting us fly with you!
There's something special when you two fly together and I really enjoy those flights. It's just refreshing to watch a little aviation normalcy again lol!
If an all-black TBM doesnt get you - the Zeppelin / Cash remix will.
@@mikesumner5129 yeah yeah the sabotage sample is in there; thanks karen
A tich of Cat Scratch Fever thrown in for good measure.. ba dum dum.. get it. .. he said. .. measure.. ba dum dum.
How does the video not get a copyright against the music? It was awesome!!
Good to see fly-ins ramping up again this year!
what an honor to have Wayman call you captain... pretty awesome.
Nice to see the Mooney 301 legacy continue! A beautiful classic and would be a dream to own!
The new aircraft looks beautiful in those trim colours. Nice to see aviation events resuming and you guys flying together again. Greg in the 🇬🇧
My son and I were there all week. You couldn't throw a rock and not hit a UA-cam pilot and somehow we missed you all week long. Maybe next time and thanks for the great content.
Agreed. But I think Steveo might want to turn down the tower talking over the cockpit so much. Confusing most of the time. Not a complaint; just an observation.
Steve, It was good to meet you at Sun-N-Fun! I'm the guy that is flying the Epic E100 that we talked about.. I'm based at SRQ! Will
That arrival into Lakeland was pretty cool. Like you said it's great to be somewhat getting back to normal. Thank you Wayman and SteveO for sharing this with us. The TBM940 is definitely an amazing aircraft for sure!
Great job Steveo and Wayman! This TBM is a show stopper 🔥🔥 P1K and Wayman’s brother waiting for you both was priceless.
Dude, you're one of the luckiest people I know. What a great gig you have. Fly safe!
Always enjoy watching you two work together! Great teamwork in the cockpit :)
Just wanna say thank you, your videos and you have helped me decide im going to get my license to fly. Weather it turns out to be a career or not , ima get it . Your love for flying has sold me!
Passed my instrument check ride 2 weeks ago. Passed my commercial written this morning! Hoping to finish up commercial in the coming weeks!
Wow! That's awesome ! Stay safe the armour of godprayer is a good one not to scare ya but jeaus will always protect you? But you'll grab his attention when you say a short prayer "please keep me safe (us) lord ..humble 🙏amen😉😇😀
You're going to get spoiled flying such fancy planes. :-)
I've never flown anything with a glass cockpit yet. Most of the things I have flown are pre 1970's. I'd love to fly something new, but I would probably have no idea what I'm doing!
Nah. The gizmos take away some of the fun and experience. A well maintained antique is way more visceral and engaging than a flying vacuum cleaner that navigates itself.
I flew an all black Baron years ago and thought that was the coolest airplane in the sky. After seeing this, I was mistaken. Great video Steveo, safe skies !
Thank you, Steve! Wonderful that your Dad was there to greet you. My first Sun'n'Fun (1989) was with my Dad; one of my best memories. I could not attend this year, but my two sisters were there working the show. If I am still vertical, I will see you in 2022.
@@FedoraSnatcher so YOU are the one who copped my hat! LOL. I was quite a bit older.....
Thanks SteveO Great job. I am so impressed with the 940. I started flying back in the 70's. Allot has changed. To rent a Cessna 150 was $ 14.00 per hour wet !!!!!!!!!! We did not have GPS we had VOR'S. And also a sectional chart with a compass. You are such a great mentor for these new young pilots, please keep up the good work. The true test of a professional is they make it look easy. YOU MAKE IT LOOK EASY. TIGER WOODS MAKES IT LOOK EASY ALSO !!!!!! It is not easy, it takes hard work, and PRACTICE !!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT LOOK SO EASY !!!!
..good to see Steveo ..and Wayman..flying the newest TBM...once again..
Such professional airmanship. Great teamwork!
i find your videos far more entertaining than some of the others, you have perfected your art of sharing what your passion is. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one!
I love how Waymond was being professional and calling Steveo captain! All your videos are top notch Captain Steveo!! Thanks for always sharing your adventures and knowledge of aviation with us!!
Such a fluent relationship. They also communicate perfectly with ATC.
@@jayboshuis3791 Next time your hands are on the yoke you can dictate the tempo. Agreed?
Love your content Steveo. Hi from a paramotor pilot living in Slovakia.
I love my pals nice to see you looking happy and excited for all the events that's going to be on this year happy flying everyone philip. 🤘👌🍺
These videos keep me inspired to continue on the journey of aviation, I’ve got my instrument check-ride tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited
At first thought they were going to park you across from the competitive, Epic E 1000. First thoughts were, ‘Oh, Boy, LOL. Turboprop wars!” Thanks, Steveo. (Daher made sure that didn’t happen.)
Steve excellent job! Great editing just like a tv show very well done my friend!
Thanks for the inspiration Steve I logged my first official flight lesson Tuesday, and you’ve inspired me to continue the expensive rough path to become a pilot! Your videos are truly awesome!
I was a MH-47 Chinook crewchief in the Army and getting to do static display at an airshow was always the best!
I love that the pre-starting checklist has you verify that the landing gear are down.
Yeah, that one made me chuckle as well. You'd really hope they had that one figured out by then :)
I guess it would be possible the hit the gear lever when getting out of the left seat, so checking the lever is down is a very good idea as the most likely is electrically operated( just a guess).
I think the Steveo / Wayman videos are the best! You make a great team. Good crew resource management.
I've been watching your stuff for a while Steveo, been doing alot of flight simming in TBMs, found that the Hot Start TBM has your livery for the 840! Super proud to fly it.
Thank you for going through checklists. I flew steam gauges and have no experience with glass panels and turbines so use your videos to help learn these systems.
What a chore having to fly that beautiful bird 😉
😅I know I gave myself a headache tryin to listen to all the checks on the checklist! Damn he could become a Dr.!! On his side hustle! Damn!! 🤯😵😂😂🤣😂🤣😄😄😉😂🤣😅😂
dang i want this to be me when I'm older such a pretty plane thanks for the awesome video steve
It's great to see you back Stevio and good to see Wayman back with you good team work as ever.
Was great to see you at Sun and fun this year, Steve-O! You keep up the good work!
That is a beautiful plane! I was wondering if it was detailed at the beginning and you confirmed it was later in the video. That auto throttle is amazing. I'm going to try to come down next year for sure.
Wow - now that’s a sweet ride. Good flight, fellas!
Remarkable aircraft, the TBM940. A fantastic presentation of procedures and flying. Nostalgic. from an old B747-200 to the 400 pilot. Love to get my hands on this pretty bird!!
Thank you both! Have a great time!
Rich.
Hi Steveo, the sales agent of Daher in the States is a guy from Reunion island. His late father was an aviation pionneer here.
Love the video Steveo. Is the Home Safe new for the TBM 940? Great peace of mind feature for an airplane that continues to impress.
Such a pretty plane and both of you guys look great sitting in it. You both have to love your jobs!
What a beautiful aircraft. I completed my ground school about 20 years ago but was never able to afford finishing my pilots license due to financial troubles thanks to medical issues. Your videos really make me wish I would have had a chance to finish. Amazing to see how much technology has changed flying over the past 20 years. What an honor out would be to be selected to fly such an amazing aircraft.
Wayman and S1K, the DAHER Flight Crew!
That is one sweet airplane. The TBM's just get better and better. That class cockpit is the greatest. Seems a little eerie arriving at Sun and Fun early with no crowds. That aircraft is definitely on my wish list.
Excellent Flight. Have a great time.
Anouther great video Stevo always enjoy your flights with Wamen he never seems to relax his eyes are darting everywhere keeping an eye on his baby👍
I do hate it when the guy next to Stevo starts telling him what to do right before flare. It's distracting. Stevo knows what he is doing. Great video that aircraft is absolutely gorgeous.
That is one sexy mother of a plane Steveo - I'd call you 'lucky' - but luck has nothing to do with it, you've worked for it...
No its not sexy. Please don't say that. I do believe that we are smarter than that.
@@dam1041960 I was being facetious. He’s a pilot and flys his companies planes. It’s merely a job and not something amazing.
Love the constant explanations, a great training experience from the consummate professional!
Currently in instrument training and your videos help me so much with procedures and communications. Thank you!
What a beauty. I didn't realize how far things have advanced with flight controls. Amazing.
It does not get better than this😍💎🙏
Great video Steve! Was nice meeting you in person and to take a picture with you on Sun N Fun’s Sunday! ( not for the headset) Safe and fun Flying!
This is my 7th time listening to that engine start. Incredible sounds
Hi Steveo - started flight training in 2015 in high school and stopped until after getting my bachelor’s degree. On Wednesday I finally got my PPL and wanted to thank you for the inspiration you’ve given me and many other pilots to continue pushing for their dreams. You’re influence has had a profound effect on me and I’m always thinking of you when a TBM comes onto the ramp at the Daher dealer next to my flight school. Thanks Captain Steveo!!!
Congratulations on both your degree and certificate. I think everyone here would encourage you to go ahead and get your Instrument rating. It will teach you to fly more precisely, give you confidence and experience working within the system, and expand the functionality of your flying. All of these will make you a safer and better pilot.
@@davidrush4908 I appreciate that David! I’m planning on making this a career so the instrument rating is imperative for me! A lot of people around me are saying that the instrument is going to be right up my alley so I’m looking forward to it. Thanks again!
@@lilcracky111 In that case I wish you well. At least you probably won't have to fly NDB holds or approaches. I had a 141 stage check where the instructor had me fly an NDB hold backwards, which I had never contemplated much less done.
@@davidrush4908 yikes 😂 all the flight school planes I fly have the adf removed so I should be alright on that end. Just got to figure out those holding pattern entires 🤪
@@lilcracky111 There's a no-brainer trick to that using your ADF or HSI. I can't explain it easily, but there are videos here on UA-cam that do a good job.
Cool airplane, lucky you tanks for sharing
Thanks for talking us through what you are doing, good pilots.
Enjoyed this awesome video as they all are... can't wait to look for you at Sun N Fun 2022! 😀
"We HAVE TO" fly this brand new plane to..... I know they had to really twist your arm! Enjoyed the video.
Well ......I flew a brand new kite yesterday, so there ! 😂 Have a wonderful day blessed day, love the video.
SWEET Steve'O!!!! the prop got some refinement as well as bigger screens and man, alot!! looks sweet!!!!!
Awesome and Awesome !!!! thank you Captain Steveo for your videos .... next year I will be there !!!!
That is a one Badass airplane! Good fun in the sun! Thanks for the ride!
Great vid. Love the TBM 940. I live an hour and a half from Toulouse, where they're built. Not see one fly over yet. One lives in hope. Cà la vie. All the best.
@@jmlec7817 your absolutely right. Must have Airbus on the brain. All the best.
Between you, citation max, bradm - you make aviation fun to watch, also a great learning experience! Look forward to showing off some videos when i get my PPL! keep em coming!
Gosh that flight was awesome! As a VFR pilot, I look at what you guys do as pretty darn incredible. Great video editing and great teamwork flying.
That was an exciting landing in my humble opinion. What a beautiful craft.
Awesome video, and truly a great aircraft. Keep up the great work you have done. It allows me to live vicariously.
Holy shit, Swayne Martin, Sam Eckholm, and Steve uploading on basically the same day? Uploads galore!
This is the second flight we've seen you take with Wayman in the TBM940. On both occasions on landing, he's called for 3° above horizon pitch before your natural inclination to start the flare. Is there something different about the 940? You're known for your greasers.
What a sweet looking aircraft. And those carbon tables, amazing
This is beautiful, the end even gave me goose bumps! (and I'm only a flight sim enthusiast just starting to taste the beauty of aviation!)
“Have to fly” you make it sound like “having to do the dishes”! 😂
I was looking for this very comment before i was going to post the same thing.. or like having to do something that the Wife or GF wants you to do(which is almost always no fun)
Never been so early. 45 seconds since this gold drop!
Had a great time, so glad to be back to SnF. Sorry I missed you this year. Fly safe Captain.
That’s a sweet aircraft. Love to hear it start up and it’s fast to taxi and takeoff beautiful just beautiful
It's great to finally find another Wamon. // signed Wamon
Uncommon name I gather, I don't think I've ever heard it before this video!
Great soundtrack and editing as usual
I can't help but wonder... is this sample used by the Beastie Boys for Sabotage?
Glad to watch. I like the steam gauge look better but this is the future I guess. A real good looker.
Love it soooo much to chill with you during a smooth flight! Hope I manage someday somehow to sit next to you and share my passion with you! Keep flying!
😍💎I really enjoyed Captain Steveo
I saw it, so I smashed the like button! 😁
Seen it! What a beautiful airplane. Thanks for sharing Steve.
Great episode this time, Steveo! Had as much fun watching it as you did doing it!
Hope you enjoyed your stay-native Lakelander
'Smash the Like Button if you see THIS!' Nice touch! Greets from Australia
Man the end with the plane and fireworks behind it was superb.
Steveo,
When I see you flying at 22K feet I, I think, that's 4 miles up in a small plane! It's still amazing.
I can't imagine how those aviation pioneers would feel.
When I was little ,quite a few of them were still alive, including Orville Wright.
He died in 1948 when I was six years old, I just the right age to remember the v2 and the pre space age era... Werner Von Braun etc.
It's been one heck of a journey, yesterday I watched those 4K movies and Images from Mars!
WOW!!!!
Cheers,
Rik
That day they would feel bounced around
Human Flight has come along way since you were a kid Old Man :) I imagine they would be flabbergasted to see what we had created. And they would probably be surprised it wasn’t more futuristic in ways.
