None of these books is a book I would read BUT I watched this video to the very last moment and will definitely be watching it again. The passion and excitement that Jack speaks with about books makes me fall in love with reading all over again every single time. I first discovered Jack 3 or 4 years ago back when he first started posting about books. I am clinically depressed and was finding it hard to find one reason to live, and listening to Jack talk about books reminded me that I loved reading as a child and so I took it up again and then there was a time when the potential of reading all the books I wanted to read was one small reason to consider staying alive. And now every time I listen to you talk about books with all the excitement and passion in the world, even if they're ones I won't read, I just sit there and smile and am excited (which is not a word I would otherwise feel or use as a clinically depressed person) about the potential of just reading. Reading the books I do have on my TBR list. But just the act and absolute joy of reading. Thank you doesn't even begin to express my gratitude for you just being the person that you are and sharing your existence with us🫶🏼
Now were getting TV Show recs from you too!? I'm here for it. Putting Derry Girls on my TBW. I also support you going into your poetry era. I dont feel like book content creators talk about poetry enough so thanks for giving it some space on your chanels.
That’s me but with library books, I realized I might have a problem when I got 5 books a one month’s deadline on all of them. Ended up not finishing them and I am still heartbroken about it.
Omg i had moments like that so many times. You want to say something and then you can't use it and THEN someone says what your backup was?? An absolute nightmare
Poetry recommendation: Zong! by M. N. Philips It's really experimental in it's use of language and form. It challenges not just what a poem should look like, but also the structures and logic of language, the law, and the archive.
Hey jack just finished reading the yellow wall paper, a short story with a Bertha Mayson-esque plot. It’s a wild ride and definitely something I think you’d enjoy, plus only takes an hour to read!! If you’ve already read it I’d love to know what you thought :)
I just finished this phenomenal new book of fairy tales entitled Sillies, Fancies, and Trifles - it was phenomenal and I think you'd love it. It would go with the lovely recommendations here. Keep up the beautiful videos :)
I have watched your vlogs since you were studying for your 'A' levels (my youngest and I were looking for inspiration for studying). Have thoroughly loved watching you grow and carve out your own very successful niche in a pretty packed market. However, Jack, Jack, Jack - what is with the American pronunciation of Van Gogh? Kim
1 book? How about 1 view 1 min ago... But 6 likes 😂 1+6=7 it's a conspiracy! I've had a glass of wine and it's a Friday, don't judge me too much. Happy Friday everyone. 😁
‘Derry Girls’ is simply gold tier. Talk about combining history and comedy.
No bc that fleabag story would have ended me, you’re a survivor 😭
Same😭😭 Poor Jack😭
“I’m just going to look” is a lie I tell myself every time I enter a bookstore
i love hearing stories like your screenwriting class anecdote 😭 it reminds me of your durham days
jack, you should do a 'clean the library with me' sort of a video and let us see for ourselves how you actually manage to keep it like you do lol

Derry girls is soooo good you will not be dissappointed. I watched the whole thing in a single sitting. Its brilliance ❤🤞🥂
WHO GETS ONLY ONE BOOK? That’s statistically impossible. Go big (and then broke) or go home (feeling guilty)

If I was in your place, I’d mention ‘Downton Abbey’ or ‘The Crown’ because period drama. You can mix it up however you want.

How many of those books will you actually read?
📚📚📚
Anyone interested in reading a book i wrote
Derry girls was so unfunny I was so sad and yes I watched every episode assuming I’d missed something. I think if it has hype I won’t like it😢
All of those books sound boring af 😴
drop everything you're doing and find an ebook called - the hidden truths of wealth, trust me on this
I find it on borlest.
Where i can find that ebook mate?
it's banned from all sites, idk where to find it
borlest - thank me later
I’ll be watching your threads 🧵 to find out what you think about these books for sure!
