@@cuteyrahul Rahul is actually using Gandhi's strategy. Gandhi's version of secularism was to use teachings from all religions and make a mix with them.. this is of course in direct contrast with Nehru who had a more western approach to secularism.. i.e dont talk about any religion.
Rahul used Gandhi's strategy by invoking Shiva, Allah, Guru Gobind and Jesus to make his point.
@vpstateofmind I think he played this strategically in the parliament. Mind you, he never does this in public भाषण. He was making a rational point for PEACE in the country and in BJPs face, where he could counter them... and oh boy, counter he did!!!
You two are absolutely right, Rahul has matured and more since his Bharat Jodo Yatra. To me, Nehru had written Discovery of India and this was Rahul's Discovery of India and himself.
Agreed. Rahul has discovered himself while discovering India. Don't know and cannot predict what will happen in the future but presently he is the only one speaking the words a lot of people have been meaning to say for a lot of years.

Your clip of Rahul Gandhi’s interview with Arnab revealed a perfectly sane and rational response. I watched it live too. I saw nothing wrong with what he said. What he said then is exactly what he is saying and DOING now. Rahul Gandhi has been consistent for over a decade on what he wants to do. Go watch that interview again. You are reacting to it the way you viewed Rahul then. Rewatch it. It will make more sense now that you are older and you’ve experienced the demise of Bharat under Modi.

I loved his answer and the way he articulated his ideas. Yes, he is not the most charismatic and so presenting his ideas very strongly was not something he could probably do then. That strength I could see in his Lok Sabha speech now. But his ideas and aims for the country have always been consistent, even from then.

I so resonate with meghnad when he said Genesh Chaturthi gives a warm feeling. I am from Bengal and Durga Puja has been the same to me.

That point of Medusaa about change of being a KV student and a person genuinely caring of the nation to someone who stopped associating self to anything nationalistic because of the toxic weaponisation, is so relatable personally for me too. Chhoo kit kit is a game we played in childhood like, in a ground we used to draw squares with a chalk, then the player has to throw a stone inside the box area anywhere, then it is a one-leg race where the player has to reach the stone by jumping with one leg, and the other leg must not touch the ground. And while doing the player has to say kit-kit all the way. ITS NOT KABADDI. KABADDI IS A BODY CONTACT GAME AND IT IS NOT. It is played by little children, no teenager will play this.

The opposition brings in so much of diversity of views, representation of so many regions and leadership to the parliament unlike the ruling party side. In this parliament the opposition is ruling.
You are right Medusa though you couldn’t express it well. One cannot walk the length and breath of this country meeting diverse people and not be affected deeply at a physical, mental and emotional level. It’s impossible. Especially travelling on foot. It’s a reconnaissance, therapeutic. It’s what Gandhi did before and how he evolved is historic.
Modi will never be that. He will remain gauche, glamour struck, insecure and a wannabe.

I feel the level at which politics has fallen since Modi became PM is one of the reason for this whole new breed of political enthusiast to be born and take notice of the indian political scenario. Because this man is the sole reason behind the degraded state of not just politics but also the entire country which made people to come out and take matters into their own hands.
