Her approach to music is the way they "Use to do it". Which is a far cry from today. During her speech she made us appreciate what each member of her band brought to the table. She was very very elegant and her ochestra was the Defintion of Professional. I really wish she'd come to S.Carolina.
I LOVE Anita Baker,I traveled from S.Caroilna to N.Carolina to see her live back in 2004.She was INCREDIBLE! But she said something very intresting during the concert that I didn't pay attention to before she introduced each member of the band and stated that they were a "True Ochestra" and that the old fashioned "Authentic" approach they use to make music was a "Dying Art". When she said it I never forgot it,but now I know what she meant,she doesn't believe in using state of the art equipment.

Anita sadly was clearly worn-out. Still she is the greatest talent alive but fire 1/2 the band, & the sound guy and JUST SING...
Thank you for posting this clip. I was at the show on 2/14/09 and I love this version of this song. She could have kept this groove going all night. I think Anita needs to release a live album.
