I fully lived through this era, the golden age of videogame RPGs. At the time, we were used to games with "adult" plots like Final Fantasy. We turned up our noses, but I surrendered to this magnificent game, made at the height of Nintendo's partnership with Squaresoft, and it became unforgettable. Thank you for adding your unique talent to this electronic masterpiece.
For me Super Mario RPG came a little later, after I had played a couple Final Fantasy games and I thought that Super Mario RPG sounds silly but it became one of my favorite Rpg's
I never knew I needed this, but now that I've found it, my life is complete. :) In all seriousness, this is awesome. Starting with acoustic and then going to electric built it up so much, making it that much more powerful.
I've been tuning in since "Into the Wilderness" off and on, and even play it through the PA systems at work from time to time for chuckles. I can confidently say that this is another excellent entry, and that I shall soon be annoying/confusing people at work that have never played video games with it for my own amusement. Excellent work!
Excellent guitar cover of Forest Maze. This is a track we all find ourselves coming back to well after we finished the game. Whether you played the original or the recent remake, it's definitely one of the best tracks Shimomura ever composed.
Thank you! This is definitely a catchy theme that will be stuck on yor head. I still don't have Switch to play the remastered version but have to play it SNES-style because it's an amazing game!

Considering Shimomura also did the iconic soundtrack for Street Fighter II, that's saying something, and I do agree.
