When the Fjol Winterlight is in my Draumr and I'm ready to deflate, I like to open the valve while I'm in it so that my body weight does a lot of the squeezing for me. I have spoken, also 😜 Can't wait for more baby Yoda
about the air mattress LW -18, which is genuinely comfortable and functional, except for deflating it. It's extremely difficult to do it smoothly, especially in challenging environments, and almost impossible to manage alone. I bought the lightweight version for hiking purposes. However, it was inconvenient to deflate and pack it up every day. It became such a hassle that I switched back to using my old hammock :/
The trouble is on rough and muddy surfaces you want to avoid having to put your weight on it and kneeling down on the ground as well. But no chance to get it rolled small enough otherwise. So yes, absolutely a major design flaw sadly.
I find that the Winterlight Fjol valve is more fragile as I broke mine when trying to pull it out for deflation. I found a way to reinsert the small rubber tip inside the tiny hole, but beware...

6:00 can't see any link to the mentioned video I'm still having a hard time to decide which pad is right for me, actually I want the stiffest of them all
Hi John, We're sorry if there's a missing link here. Feel free to send us an email at support@amokequipment.com if you have questions! The Fjøl pad is the stiffest in our selection. Team Amok
One pad came before the others (The Fjøl was our first pad), and when people requested lighter and warmer pads we made that with a smaller and lighter valve :)

Want to get a pump for the pad, what size nozzle would adapt with the winter light?
The valve is approximately 21 mm. This one from Exped works fine: www.rei.com/product/187674/exped-widget-pump
Thanks for sharing yall!!
Got mine today. Came for the green... little thing sticking out =)

It does seem rather thin and delicate. I recommend a redesign if it proves to be a widespread problem.
Neat trick with the small rubber tip, thanks (although my SeaToSummit does do it better). Still an awesome pad!
du viser ikkje skikkelig hva du gjør!
Heisann,
Er det noe spesielt du tenker på at vi burde vist bedre i denne videoen?
Mvh

Why did you choose to use two different rubber flaps on those models?

Brilliant Demonstration

Thanks:)
