    I'm late. Thank you for showing us. I watch all your rod reviews and found this by looking this up. Thanks for all your work!

    A true “working mans” boat! I feel ya man, like a lot of sponsored content creators pumping their “unboxing” of free stuff, while their audience has to actually pay for what they get. Not knocking them, but I enjoy watching people who are actually taking risk in building their arsenal and upgrading their equipment with their hard earned cash. Good for those guys getting sponsors, but more props to those putting in the grind for the love of the sport.
    Good video man, keep up the good work - new sub here!👍🏻🎣

    Badass ass boat bro, looks great for 20 years old and I would replace all your batteries with the Lithium pros batteries, they have some great and reliable batteries. By the way I love your channel, keep up the hard work and great content I’m a fellow G loomis and megabass rod owner/ lover.

      I would love to replace everything with Lithium but the cost is still a bit much.

      I agree with Alejandro but I think it really depends on how long you are out on the water at a time. But, what I can say is that Lithiums are crazy good! I can fish three full eight hour days and the batteries still have plenty of power and the weight you save is unreal. I know they are pricey but, in my opinion, if your out for long periods of time, it's well worth the investment!

    I have a 1994 zx175 with 150 Merc and love it. Don't need a 80k boat to catch fish.....Skeeters are awesome..Nice Ride..

    Nice seeing a regular Joe with a regular Joe boat haha. Digging the setup though man. I am running an inflatable Amazon dingy when I can since it costs a billion dollars to live in chicago.

    Very nice setup. Right now I'm working the banks and have been thinking of an older boat because I like to have nice toys like Megabass, Shimano and Diawa.

      Finding a used boat is tricky in this market, you have to have money ready and have to be willing to look across state lines.

    Great video man! I know too many guys who won't take their high dollar boats into really shallow places because they're afraid it'll get scratched up lol. I'm running a 94 Ranger 363V with a 2008 150 etec ho and love not having a boat payment!

  • @nawinchester
    @nawinchester 3 роки тому +1

    I love the no payment Mafia concept, which is I think our industry promotes people buying 65,000 and 75,000 dollar bass boats to be part of a bass crew of a people who do bass tournament fishing. I succumbed to the pressure a little bit and bought a brand new 21-ft aluminum boat which is a deep v and not perfect for bass fishing but it allows the family and I to have multi-purpose functionality out of our boat. I'm about 2 years away from owning it outright and it's been a really good boat, fully equipped the way I want and even knew it cost me half as much as the brand new fiberglass. I'm going to tournament fish next year and I'll probably be the only aluminum boat in the field, but I don't care and neither do the bass. Great vid and a great future topic.

      Up in the north country MOST people have deep V aluminum boats, bass boats are much more rare.

    • @nawinchester
      @nawinchester 3 роки тому

      @@PunchFishing I'm definitely in the north country. I'm in Maine , so most of our lakes are big, deep and when the wind blows, we can get 3 to 5 foot swells. My deep v handles that type of water very well.

    You should look into setting up your jack plate set up properly. You should be hitting 59 to 60 mph easy with a 23 pitch prop. My brother and I have the same size Skeeters. His is a 2000 ZX185 with a 150 Vmax and he is getting 59 to 60 out of his. I have a 1997 ZX 185 with a 175 Vmax and I am getting 62 to 65 out of mine. The ZX 185 is the exact same size as your 2002 SX190. Nice looking boat that you have by the way. Ah I see the problem. I looked at the video again. You do not currently have a jack plate on your boat at all. You most likely are getting all you can out of your current set up. With the jack plate you can set the height of your engine. Mine is currently set up to 3 1/2 " below pad, it helps to get the hull up out of the water.

    I'm a bank angler living in an apartment with a toyota corolla. My "boat" next year is going to be a sea eagle 285 inflatable. Enjoy the gear you can afford, ya don't need the absolute best of the best to catch fish.

    What a great rig!! I'm with you! I have a 2001 Ranger R71 Sport and have basically done the same thing you have done. I installed an Ultrex 80 thrust trolling motor,Hummingbird Solix 12 Gen 2 fishfinder , dual 8 foot Powerpoles, stereo, LED lights, 3 bank Minn Kota charger as well as as 2 Lithium 100 amp hr trolling motor batteries. I did spend quite a bit getting everything that I wanted to but I can say I spent way way less than a new bare bones boat. It's not the biggest boat either but it fishes great with 2 people. Tight lines my friend!!

    Very organized and optimized your space so well! Maybe someday you can do a video about your active target - quite overwhelming with all the forward facing technologies - beginning to feel outgunned, like when fluorocarbon line first emerged on the scene, we were all doing just fine with regular ole. mono, but felt like you had to move to the FC because everyone else was going to get more action with their "invisible line"..... Are your rods just stacked in there? I removed my "tubes" cause I didn't like the way the rods were flexing, getting them in and out of those narrow, black tubes. Now that I'm acquiring more upper-end rods I find myself carrying 3-4 of the shorter rods in the back of my Highlander so that i could limit the number of rods in my 2006 ZX225 rodwell, to give them more breathing space!

    • @PunchFishing
      @PunchFishing  5 місяців тому

      I can keep quite a few in there. The longest is probably around 7'10. 7'6 and under fit fine.
